Welcome to the group Pix. I'm a newbie here myself. That's wonderful that you only one more month to go on that preop! Keep up the awesome job!!

Welcome! I was sleeved on 11/30/12 and weighed in today at 300 lbs. I am trying to get to 299 like you wouldn't believe. I don't have a goal weight either, I just set them as I reach my mini ones. To weigh 299 is my 1st goal and then I want to hit 100 lbs gone (which will only be 17 lbs away after I hit 299). I think I will 'know' when I reach my goal weight.

Thanks everyone for the welcomes.  At times the whole approval process feels overwhelming and consuming.  Because it's a pilot program I think my insurance company is making up the rules along the way.  I'm very thankful that my insurance is now covering wls and will jump through whatever hoops are required for approval.

 Hi Beth,

I have had the pre-op labs done.  I feel like I'm in a race to win one of the 40 pilot program wls slots and that I need to get the surgery approved and done before the new fiscal year in July because I have no idea if my insurance will cover wls in the new fiscal year.  I have been doing concurrent planning so I have gone to the wls information seminar and the wls orientation, completed labs, signed releases, gathered documents, pestered the insurance coordinator at the surgeons office and reminded the insurance person monitoring my weight loss compliance every month that I want  a VSG.  I think I'm pretty close to having all my ducks in a row for the wls to be approved at 6 months.
