I haven't had wls yet. I'm 5 months into the 6 months suerpvised weight loss before my insurance will approve wls. I'm hoping to be sleeved in April. At the start of my suerpvised weight loss I weighed 335. I'm now at 302 and want so badly to see 299.8 on the scale.
My husband asked me what my goal weight is. I told him that if I weighed less than 200 I would be very happy. I'm having health issues because of my weight. I just want to feel good again.

April is a good month for sleeves. Mine was done 4/26/10---YIKES almost 2 years now. You're doing FABULOUS on your pre op diet. You'll break into the 2s in no time.
Don't worry too much about your long term goal, IMHO. Your surgeon will help you with that as will your own body as you go down the scale.
Welcome!
Thank you for the welcome. I have been in the high 200's for over a decade. Three years ago I lost weight for my hysterectomy and within the year had gained everything back and then an additional 50ish pounds bringing me well onto the 300's The weight sure doesn't come off like it did before I went into surgical menopause.
I have to loose x amount of weight each month for my insurance to approve the surgery. If I gain, the 6 months starts over. My insurance just started to cover wls in July and there are 40 slots in their pilot program. I'm so worried that I will get to the 6 months and be told I'm not approved because I'm number 41.
You will hit the two hundred lbs. club soon enough!!
Feel free to post and respond and help this forum stay active. Words of advice, encouragement, ideas, venting your frustrations....ect... Is all welcome. Weightloss is not easy and so this is place to come to!!

I'm new around here too, and really glad to meet you. I haven't had surgery yet, either. In fact, I don't go for my consult until next Tuesday, and it can't get here soon enough!
Congratulations on your weight loss! I hope I do half as well! I'll bet you hit 299, and lower, before you even have surgery. I'm guessing you already feel a little better, having lost some of that weight.
I'm at 308 on my scale this morning; was 306 yesterday, which is weird, because I had a great day yesterday, sticking with my self-imposed pre-diet diet, LOL! Oh, well, it may just be fluid retention. Not sure if those numbers are really accurate, as my doctor's scale said 316 a month ago, and my scale said somewhere around 312. So anyway, I might be off.
You sound so much like me in your post. I haven't felt well in so long, and it's really getting to me. As much as I would like to "look better", what I want most is to feel better, healthier, and be able to do things with my family. To be able to clean my dang house! My husband and son have been picking up the slack, but their cleaning standards and mine are a whole world apart, LOL! I, too would be thrilled just to be under 200. I think my ideal weight for my height is probably around 125, but if I don't get there, that's okay. I remember the last time I weighed under 200 - for about 5 minutes in 1996 - and I felt downright skinny at the time. Would love to have that feeling again.
Best wishes on completing the rest of your 6-mos., and getting your insurance approval. Have you all the other pre-op tests, or will those be done after the 6-mo. period? Since I haven't actually taken the first steps yet, I have no idea when I'll be able to have surgery, or even IF I'll be able to have it. So many if's at this state of the game.
Please feel free to friend me, if you want. Maybe we can compare notes on this whole process.
