I'm only 3 1/2 months post op and haven't lost much weight so why am I alsways cold now? I've heard that when people lose some of their "insulation" they get cold but I still weigh over 300 pounds I'm "insulated"

I do not know why, but I get cold easily to. I was so excited to have been able to buy my first new coat. A REAL COAT, NOT A CAPE OF MATERIAL!!!!!!
I practicall slept in it for two days just because I could. It is comfortable and something I have not had in over a decade!!

Hugs,
Sherrie

A couple weeks ago I was thinking "damn this is the coldest winter of my life" and then I realized it's just me..lol

I am cold all the time and every one thinks im crazy because I used to have the AC on in the winter. Now  I have 3 space heaters that follow me around the house and office.

I bought my first pea coat this winter and absolutely love that I can wear a cute coat.

It was 4:30 am in Michigan, light snow and about 30 when I left for the gym this morning (at least it's warmer then the low 20's we've been having).

I was freezing my ass off.

Before WLS I enjoyed cold weather. I would go outside for short times in in a T-shirt in 0 degree weather because it felt invigorating.

I the plus side, maybe this summer I won't sweat like a pig doing simple outside tasks in the heat.

I stay cold all the time as well. It's mostly my hands and feet and shoulders. I have a shawl that I constantly wear. I feel like a little old lady...lol

Hydrate!~ The more water you get in the warmer you'll be. I was freezing all the time when someone told me that, and upped my water intake by 30oz and now I feel normal. Try it!

Oh no, I hope I don't get colder after surgery. I stay cold most of the time now...I can't imagine if it gets worse.
