I know I do not need to eat and yet I stare at the kitchen. I fight wanting eat. EXCERSIZE seems so far away since my doc told me to cool it on the EXCERSIZE due to muscles in my back balling up.... Now trying to get back to walking but seem to fall to the side. Ackkkkkk...... Urgggggg..... Arggggg..... Frustrating..... Feeling today like I am failing.....

Ugly truth in the last week have gained a few pounds. Bad timing to as Aunt Flow is here to visit and just feeling like ****!

I CAN DO THIS, RIGHT?!

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!!         SHERRIE <3

First off, let me say that you already lost 350 damn pounds so you TOTALLY know how to do this! For sure you didn't gain POUNDS, you are probably retaining water due to that ***** coming to visit. I'm new to the journey but I know that ANY gain on the scale is depressing even if we know it's only water. I'm sure you're emotional too since her dumb ass is visiting too. I'm sure after such a long journey you're just soooo exhausted. So guess what? Take a freakin break. It's ok. I don't mean eat everything or start making bad choices, but maybe you don't need to exercise for a few days. Let your body and your mind rest for a few days. Put the scale away for a few days and go do something with your family or bf or something. I'm only 2 months out but thie weight stuff is constantly on my mind and it is literally driving me crazy.

And yes, you CAN do this. It's a proven fact because you've done it for 350 pounds and I think I saw on your ticker that that's more than you weigh now! So it's not even a question. Take a break lady... **** you deserve it!

Oh and to address the head hunger... I have been doing some sleep eating for the last few days and I've been "sneaking" some chicken breast and hot sauce (like an ounce or ounce and a half) and even one time I went back and got a pinch of freakin roasted soy beans. Totally bad but I guess if I was going to give in to head hunger I'm glad it was complete protein and I didn't have any bad options at home and I didn't over eat. I would say if you are having major head hunger issues you might want to make sure you don't have access to anything "bad" in your house. I know if I was doing my sleep eating (it actually is that because it happens when I take my ambien) I was actually trying to find crackers, cookies, ice cream, etc but there wasn't any so I had to settle for stupid chicken and roasted soy beans.

Sherrie,

I am actually thinking of joining a OA Group, because I still have Head Hunger issues.  I wish you were able to come to the support group meeting today - but MAYBE I'll see you in Tacoma, tonight?!

My Head Hunger seems to plague me at night.  Usually when I am still awake & my sweetie snores next to me.  Guess what?  I have made a point to get myself not only in bed, but ASLEEP before I have a chance to give into the Head Hunger thoughts.

We only have a tool, what we do with it is what counts ;)  HUGS!!!! I am bouncing between 5 pounds, so I know where you are at!

I fight with head hunger in the evenings. You CAN do this! Brenda, I'd be interested to hear how your OA meeting goes. Been considering that myself.

During my TOM- Aunt Flo decides what to eat, drink and apparently she is a moron.
I just have a couple of those days a month thank goodness.  URG I totally understand, because she makes bad food choices.  She doesn't like to eat her protein first and prefers mashed potatoes.

Start over tomorrow.  You can and are doing this!

Hang in there!

Sherri---
Not only can you do this----you've done it---awesomely (if that's a word) and in an amazing period of time!! Unbelievable!

Take it easy with the exercise---it's only temporary and think of the great boost you'll get when you start back on your regular routine----How's that for positive spin?...Walking is not my favorite but I really enjoy water walking, if you have access to a pool. I think it makes the joints and back feel good!  Just a thought.

Head hunger? Right there with you. Not hunger---evening time boredom I think. I must walk back and forth to the kitchen many times. But there's nothing in the frig----freezer only---except greek yogurt which is not what I'm looking for. But it will do if I cave in to the temptation. Tomorrow will be better.

And for all you young ladies-----just wait. Eventually the aunts take hike, get lost in the woods and are never seen again!  Some things you just don't miss!

Sherrie,

Sorry about the exercises, I know that helps me a lot. I would suggest if it is OK with you doctor, do exercises that don't ball up you back. If insurance will cover it, ask your doc for a referral to an exercises physiologist. they can help choose proper exercises and help with stretching to prevent the "balling up"

Regarding head hunger; I don't have any words of wisdom. the others all have given you great advice.

All I can say is you have overcome this before, and you will again. You have lost an amazing amount of weight, and in the grand scheme of things, you are not that far from the finish line.

Stay strong, we know you can do this.
