thanks all for the encouragment! I found these laughing cow cheeses that i like. i eat those if i need something to chew, they are only 35 calories a piece and i think 1carb. so it should be okay i think. I am getting through minute by minute...trying to stay focused on school my midterms are this week and with not eating and all my mind is a lil spacey. i am drinking tons of hot tea and coffee w/splenda to help me feel full, and it has been helping. thanks again for listening.

Hi! The pre=op liquid diet was the worst part of the process for me too. I had to do it for  2 weeks. I was allowed to have cream soups strained which helped (split pea soup was a life saver for me). I was also allowed to substitute 1 shake with a sugar free pudding cup or yogurt cup. I could have all the jello, broth and sugar free popsicles that I wanted. The sugar free popsicles also helped me a lot. Oh and sugar free gum because sometimes I just had to chew something! Hang in there. It'll all be over soon enough and will be so worth it. My motivating factor was that I knew I had to do it to shrink my liver because I did not want my surgeon to have to do an open incision rather than laproscopically. I was really afraid to mess that up. It was really hard though and I was pretty grouchy. Good luck, you can do this!
