I fit.......
in the bathtub!!!! I am a shower girll, but after my workout today I thought I would soak for a while first. I couldnt believe it.....not only did I fit, but I could put my arms down by my sides and still had room. I dont know anyone else who might understand other than you guys! Before, basically, the water behind my hips stayed there until I got up. The front part could drain completely and then I would move and the back of the tub would drain. I am absolutley estatic. Who knew a bath could mean so much!!

That is the best feeling!! I bet it was the most exciting bath ever!!! Get a rubber sucky and date it! It will remind you every time you look at it!
I am still in my low 300's and I take baths more than showers, just because I can now. But I was so fat before that I lost the ability to shower or bathe myself. A bit different situation, but the fact that I can get in and out of the tub on my own is always a party for me.
I am alone in my bath and need no help....in this case....
I love being a "loner"!
Yes, we understand for sure!

Sherrie

This board really makes me have compassion for others...
Wow... your post made me tear up. This new life must truly be amazing for you. I couldn't imagine. I thought my struggles with weight were something but when you go from being completely dependent on people for things like bathing to being able to FIT in a bath tub... oh my goodness! I had issues reaching to clean some spots but with some specials gymnastics I always was always able to accomplish the task. I haven't been able to fit in a tub in lord knows how long. I won't even try for at least another 50 pounds. I won't try a booth either! Eek!

My "first" bath was amazing. I think i took a bath every day for a month just because I could. I even went and bought candles and bubble bath just to enjoy the occassion. Now I moved and my tub sucks and is super shallow and I don't bother, and I miss it!

I can so relate. I took my first tub bath in almost a year last weekend. My problem wasn't so much that I didn't fit (I have a garden tub), but that with my weight and arthritis combined, I couldn't get out easily at all.
I had my DH there for help, but I didn't need him at all. I got out all by myself
