Don't let it get you down Dori I swear we are related.... my iron is STILL low and I take prescription strength and my protein was low too (doing 2 shakes per day to get in 100g since 80g doesn't seem to be enough). I'm a slow looser too but at least WE are loosing. Keep on going to zumba and take it day by day. Did your surgeon discuss your food intake.... maybe a nutrition check in would help. My NUT said I not only needed more protein but more CARBS - LOL; if you're body is starving it's going to hold on to the fat.

Yes DSori Hang in there baby! I agree with Adrienne! I think you are doing great, and I am a slow looser too! I only lost 17lbs now and it has been 4 weeks! I try to get in 8ograms of protein but it is way to hard! Just keep on doing the Zumba, and do the best that you can! Like Adrienne says " At least we are Loosing!" Good luck chica!
Did he make any recommendations for lowering your glucose or increasing your protein levels?

Sounds like your doc has given you a great plan! Is it different then what you have been doing? Hope this keeps you on your losing trend.

I know Adrienne we're shadowing each other. He didnt suggest anything for the glucose. We discussed my food and protein intake he said I was doing everything right and that to just be diligent about getting in my protein and he would do repeat labs in 3mths. For the weight loss he said it was slow but steady and that if i can get my exercise up to 4hrs a week consistently than the weight loss should increase. I just started exercising 2wks ago. I'm doing Zumba 3 days a week and lifting weights 1x a week.
I am a slow loser too but my clinic is happy with my progress. They keep telling me not to compare myself with anyone else. I was always a very good loser including pre op. I am kinda disappointed in my surgery but it is what it is. I do not exercise much due to osteoarthritis. Perhaps we won't lose a lot of hair? lol (I keep telling myself that when I need consoling) I haven't lost anything in the last 3 weeks.
what are your iron levels? mine are on the low end of "normal" but my pcp said there is no need to supplement but i thought she was crazy. the range was 40-175 and my level was in the low 50s. I feel like that's pretty much out of range. Were your levels actually out of range or just low end of normal?
