I was just wondering if any had a face lift or neck lift after surgery.  Neck  skin is starting to really hang.  I can always cover my arms and my stomach does not really broughter me.  But, My neck skin has aged my by thirty years.  I look like I am sixty. Does anybody have any idea what it cost  out of pocket for a face  and neck lift. Since have to save up some money for it.  I know still have to lose more weight.  I wanting to get idea of what it will cost.   I think Medcare will help pay for stomach  lift  surgery since it hangs over six inches.  I was also wondering about arm lifts and what that cost without insurance.

It really depends on the surgeon.  I have been looking into this also.  Life Lift says around $7K, but again, it depends on procedure & surgeon.

I know a few friends who have gone to Mexico & Costa Rica, got full body lifts - boobs, arms, body, the whole enchilada for $7000.

There is one Plastics guy here on OH, I will have to look for his name, but LOTS of folks see him, I met him at the OH Conference, so check the Plastics Forum also!

I have noticed that I have a LOT of saggy skin on my neck, too. I'm not too worried about it now, but I sure can understand your frustration. Let us know what you find out, please

I don't have first hand knowledge, but it was mentioned in one of the pre-surgery seminars I attended that you can kind of negotiate with the plastic surgeon. When they do your stomach, they sometimes will "throw in" other smaller procedures.

What Brenda said about hanging out on the plastics board is a great idea. I've been hanging out there and friended a few folks who were wonderful and I got to see some of their surgery photos.

Its really been on my mind too as I'm not yet 40 but know that losing 200+ pounds is really going to age me. I've always been told I look younger than I am but it's because I have all that fat and collagen in my face to prevent lines. Once that goes away I know they will raise their ugly mugs in the mirror.

I've seen some really really beautiful results on people. What Gary said is true too - if you get multiple procedures they can and will sort of "wheel and deal" a bit by doing some smaller procedures.

But it's really like getting your wls - you get what you pay for. So you should choose a great surgeon. There is one name I see a lot of and I think he's either in So CA or Mexico. Sauceda?

Also like wls everyone reacts differently to plastics. Some folks take ages to heal, some don't. Some are in a lot of pain and some have complications.

Good luck in your research Doris!
