See JK that's exactly why we need to make lists like this, so we can look and see all the other non-scale victories- walking over a mile without being breathless is wonderful! I remember when just getting out of bed was exhausting!
I'm so happy to hear that you have hope for the future- you're doing great- keep it up!

I can do so many things now......I can walk the store & not have to find a place to rest. I can walk the track with my daughter. I actually went to the aquarium all day....and did not get winded.

I can sorta keep up with my 2 year old son....that is exhausting. I was never able to do that before.

I can stand & do the dishes without being in pain...not that I like dishes

LOL, my coach last night was telling us that they did a study of all these professional athletes who were tasked with mimicking everything that a 2yr old did. Running, jumping, etc... and none of them were able to complete an entire day! So keeping up with one at all is HUGE!
I bet you had a great time at the aquarium and were focused on the exhibits- that's smashing!

Danni, thank you, this was an awesome idea for a post. I have enjoyed reading all of the responses. I am 7 months out and down 146 pounds. I still have 120ish pounds to lose... BUT today I FIT into an all-in-one booth! Still tight but I FIT and it wasn't uncomfortable. Today I also was able to SIT ON THE FLOOR, "Indian style" while my little 4 year old client sat on my LAP! I have a lap again! Lets see, I also have room between my belly and the steering wheel and I don't have to use the seat belt extender anymore. I can walk a decent distance without hurting or being out of breath. I used to always either park in the handicapped parking spot (I have a placard) or I would drive around and around until I found a parking spot that was close to the door. Now, I don't mind parking further away and walking...never would have happened before. I can fit into the all-in-one desks at school (still tight but I can fit now, couldn't fit in them at all last year). I can roll over in bed without holding onto the headboard. I can take a shower without feeling like I just ran a marathon. I can wipe my butt without having to hoist my arm around or reaching/stretching, hell it's a miracle I can even reach lol (sorry TMI) but very important to me. I can also reach around and scratch/rub my own back. I can go up and down the stairs much easier and without taking one step at a time or going out of my way to take the elevator... I also can fit into more chairs easier (used to always be afraid to sit in chairs with arms) and along the same lines, the "big" chair at the doctors office actually had enough room for me to sit my purse next to me (I used to take up the whole chair). Oh and I can actually be weighed on the old fashioned doctors scale at my OBGYN's office. Couldn't last year as I was over the weight limit. Hmmm...I guess that about does it for me, for now...lol

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on their successes no matter how big or small they all count! We all ROCK! WOO HOO!!!

I can feel and see bones. I actually will catch myself rubbing my hands together just to feel those bones.
Cross my legs
Sit in a booth at a restaurant
Sit in the salon chair with ease
Fasten my seat belt in the car
Work a physical job and not be in horrible pain, or have to take a breather
walk without getting winded
Sit on my sofa and get up easily
shower without getting tired
wow...the list could go on and on..

Hi Danni,

I love it that now I can fasten my seat belt in cars, and I do not need a seat belt extender on planes and I can fit in regular seats now in waiting rooms, theatres, place of worship etc.

I swam 500 miles last year.
I am back to a weight I haven't seen in almost a decade.
I weigh less than my boyfriend!
I can see my FEET when I drive my truck!
I no longer need a seat belt extender.
I can bend over inside my shower stall, without opening the door!
I take the stairs every chance I get.
I can be weighed on an "old school" scale!!!!
My sexy, pretty underwear is now TOO BIG, I need new sexy drawers!
I have my surgical date to get my panniculectomy -- I am Snoopy Dancing while I type!

Lord, I know I can come up with more, but I think I did pretty well with the ones I've added to this conversation :)

Stay positive!!!
