This week - 196
Goal - 175

I'm working on eliminating useless calories from my diet and it seems to be helping. This past week I stopped eating wheat and I do feel pretty good (gluten is said to inhibit vitamin absorption). I'm trying to eat more Paleo style, since it's more natural and I'd like to be eating as little processed food as possible!

Things I've now cut out:
Potatoes
Rice
Pasta
Sugar
Fried Anything
Flour
Wheat (and anything with -dextrin as that is also wheat)
Legumes/Beans/Peanuts

To cut out next:
Corn (but I am a hardcore popcorn addict so this could be tough)
Dairy
Deli meats with nitrates
Salt

I weighed a couple times this week..so who knows what it will be now that TOM is here. :P

I have been doing better, I did over do it this weekend with alcohol, and some fried foods. Probably why I feel like **** today

Good morning everybody! Glad to see everyone is doing great on their journies. I get inspired everytime I come to OH, and that is one of the things that keeps me motivated.

High - 475.0
Last week - 406.0
This week - 400.4
Total Lost- 74.6
Goal - 170

I was looking at that scale like I was a few points away from the 300's... They could have gave me that .5 lbs. lol :) But I am still happy. :) Have a blessed day

This Week- 341.6

I went down to 337.2 and all the way back up to 343.8 all in the same week and stayed around 342-343 most of the time. I don't really know what's going on but I'm pretty depressed actually and think I'm doing something wrong...

You're not doing anything wrong. It happens. Happens to me more frequently than I'd like, and even though im kind of an emotional train wreck right now, I have to say that I have learned that it will absolutely go back down and you will keep losing as long as you remain on your plan, and dont let your emotions get the best of you. I had a 3 week gain/stall and I was horrified but true to its course, it broke and I went down pretty quickly. Im right back in that spot, but I will never allow that to be an excuse to go crazy or give up on what im trying to do.

My advice - push yourself this week. Do something youve never done. It helps me feel like ive accomplished something even when the scale is being ridculous!

My First Monday Weigh in.  YAY

My starting weight was 369.0
today I weight in at      362.0

7 pounds down.  Tomorrow I go see my surgeon and get the drain out cant wait.  Then I can start going to the gym to use the treadmills and bikes.

It seems like it takes forever to get approved and all the testing.  Wow now I am 1 week post-op

Had a good week after stall a couple of weeks ago.

I am learning the it is not a level ride.

An analogy would be a ride from the top of a mountain to the bottom, The road is not always downhill. Sometimes you go back up, crest a hill and start going down again. But eventually you get off that mountain.

Shwag - Alison gave you great advise.

Alison - Take your own advise and quit beating yourself up. I will post a response to your other thread as soon as I can.

I dont think I'm really beating myself up - I'm just hitting an emotional low point, but I'm not letting if affect what I do - I'm still making the same good choices Ive been making since I know that this is just temporary, but I'm just....emotionally and mentally exhausted (and sick which never helps).
