Time for spanx :(
Wellll, ironically, now that I'm smaller and dealing with all the loose skin, I'm starting to get a little irritated. It really started when I went shopping for a dress. I found, and got a size 12/14 dress that is flattering for my figure, BUT i have a flap of skin/fat on my upper stomach (my mom calls it my spare tire lol) that I really really don't like.
So, I went and bought this tank top thing (I think its a flexee or something) that I can wear my own bra with but it holds my stomach in. I look better in the dress with it since it holds that ugly roll in, but Im so uncomfortable being squeezed lol. How do people wear these all the time??
I might try and post some pics later and maybe you guys can tell me if its even worth the difference in how I look - I have these bipolar mood swings when Im getting dressed. When I first put it on this morning I decided it was much better and worth it. When I got to work and looked in the mirror, I was like - "im still fat, why bother with this tank top that's squeezing me". It's not even that tight but I just dont like the way it feels.
Do you guys wear these things to deal with loose skin - is it worth it? Any brands better than others in terms of comfort?

Yep ---started using "smoothers" (as my Mom would call them) again. I used to wear them on my way up to my highest weight but stopped. Strangely, i was at my highest weight and 1) just didn't care anymore and 2) I was solid---fat but solid!
Now there's so much loose skin---ankles to earlobes! I purchased Spanx--2 types. One is just a pantie type thing and the other is the pant that goes up to just underneath my bra. I like this brand---not as thick and the material seems better. My goal is just to smooth out some of the jiggle---not reduce a size. I trying to wear more body conscious clothing. I still have the bad habit of over sizing my purchases.
I don't wear them daily (I also don't go into an office daily). But I think you'll get used to them if you try it for a week. A clue----don't go too small on the size. Start with a comfortable one. And hope for cooler weather ---I think they can get a little warm in the dead of summer.

I know lots of my WLS friends like the brand Slimpressions slimpressions.com/, and say they are the most comfortable, but I can't speak from experience.
Oh and I've got loads of loose skin, but I only wear tight clothes when working out, but in that instance- the tighter the better as it keeps things from going too far! Compression is king! LOL!
Good Luck,

I like tight work out clothes but the problem I'm having with my work out clothes and now the control tips is that I have giant hips and everything is rolling up!! I might have to consider a full body suit but I don't think it's worth all that :-p
Hopefully I'll have some pics from my friends wedding this weekend.

You'll get used to it LOL
P.S. - some of the high waist control top panties do the same thing
