Good Day for Me Might Mean a Good Day for you! RNY Forum XPOST
I ran out of hangers while putting away laundry this morning, and decided to do my first closet sweep since surgery almost 12 weeks ago. I started in a 30/32, and got 2 pairs of 26 pants that now fit perfectly, so I figured I would pull out what I can't wear any more...
Black and white floral and color block elastic wasit long skirt, 3X
Brown, pink, green, multi patterned long skirt with elastic waist, 3X
Black knee length knit skirt, 3X
Brown swimdress with cute crocheted top, size 32. It has been altered b/c the straps were way too long for me.
Flare blue jeans, size 28, normal length
Bootcut blue jeans, size 26, have been altered to petite length, never worn only washed.
Bootcut brown fine guage ribbed slacks, size 26, altered to petite, never worn only washed.
Bootcut khaki smooth slacks, size 26, altered to petite, never worn only washed.
I'm 5'7'' tall but have short legs and a long torso which is why the pants have been altered. The size 26 & 28 pants are all Old Navy brand, which I find to run big which is why even though my new pants are 26, these are too big...so more like a 28 and 30 IMO. YMMV.
All the clothes are in great condition.
They're free to the first person to send me a message, the only thing I'm asking is that you pay for shipping, via a check in the mail or PayPal. It all fits in a medium square box, weighs like 10-ish pounds. I will ship to US and Canada.
I hope someody can get some use from these.

You ROCK!!! If no one claims your goodies, see if there is a support group member who can use them. I am one of those folks who has received and given TONS of clothing (talking 12+ HEFTY bags worth!!!)
If you aren't in a support group, maybe ask at your doctors office, the nurses may have someone in mind who would LOVE to get your hand-me-downs. There is always the Women's Shelter!!! You get the write-off, and appreciation!!! Larger women have the worst time getting clothing, I actually was asked if I could also give clean panties & bras -- which I happily bagged & tagged!
Congrats on cleaning the closet!!!

The clothes did find a home, and were sent on their way yesterday.
I checked with my support group in the beginning (I found participation to be low & topics to be repetitive, so I stopped going after the first few) and they have no clothing exchange set up. I have it in my notebook to talk to the dietician and program gal in January when I have my next appointment and see about the lack of support in the support groups and also a clothing closet so people could just come in and get a couple pairs of pants, maybe a true exchange (2 items given gets you 2 "new" items, etc) set up. Right now I can still get away with my drawstring pants, but somewhere down the line I'm gonna be comfortable in jeans again and won't want to spend $50 on them to get plus size petites LoL
Glad to see you're back...missed you, but I know you were having some rough times :~(
