Wanted to Share some Pictures - 9 Months Post Op
This is my first time on the 50+ BMI forums. I actually did not know it existed until recently. I wish I had known earlier.
I started my journey at a 68.4 BMI and 450 lbs
My DS BMI was 62.3 at 410 lbs
I am currently 9 Months post DS and 274 lbs with a BMI of 41.7
I would still like to lose another 100 lbs, however below are images of my progress thus far!
The Bacon shirt was a goal shirt Size Large that I had bought 2 months before surgery!... I was very happy when I was able to fit into it last night.
I went from a size 5xl and 34W ... to size XL 18W

I'm new to this particular forum as well, but just wanted to congratulate you on all your success thus far! You look great, and it gives me a lot of inspiration. My BMI is around 60 and I'm on a waiting list for VSG...hoping to get my date for some time in the new year. I love the idea of having a goal shirt - I'll keep that in mind for my turn as well!
Thanks for sharing your pics - You should be very proud!
Elena
I will send good vibes your way :) hope you get a date soon!
The goal shirt was nice for me because it has taken a little time for my mind to catch up with my body. Seeing myself fit in the shirt helped :)
Best of luck!

You are doing fabulous!!! Your success is your gain that has been so worth your losses!!
You can keep going! I know for me.... I am 1 year post surgery on the 15th of this month and this last week felt frustrated like I was being defeated in my journey. But today I feel like my mind and body is stronger and I know I will get to my goal....and feel I can go less than my first goal thought of 200 lbs.
You have lost so much weight and I know that you look wonderful and you must stand super proud of yourself!
Thank you for sharing, and welcome here! I am newer here to!
Congrats on your success and good luck on the next leg to the Double Century Club :)
Keep up the good work!
