Hello!!!!!
I had my DS 2 months ago and I have lost 83 lbs since surgery-- a little fast but when you have a lot to lose you have a lot to come off. :-)

I have lymphedema and have been fighting dehydration.  It is a constant battle with one or the other but I am hanging in.  Im feeling better and getting in as much water and protein as I can.

So far I am happy with my choice of surgery and choice of surgeon.  Im not in love with DS but Im in "like"  which is saying something.  I did have the normal "buyers remorse" at the one month mark, but I am feeling and walking so much better that I have to be happy about that.

I think I made the best decision for me.

This is a supportive forum and I want to thank you all for your encouraging and kind words in the past.

Wow, 82 pounds!  Keep on top of the fluids, and I am sure all other things will become second nature.  With time, you will adapt to the new "you," and I am glad you are feeling better about your surgery.

My hope for your lymphedema is that they are able to remove it soon!!!  Stay positive, and don't worry, it does get better with time.

Thanks!  Dang Lymphedema is the devil!

When I was completely dehydrated my legs looked so damn good-- I was so free of liquid they looked almost normal again.  Some day......

Thanks for the encouragement Brenda

Congratulations on your amazing results.

At my two month mark I was slightly regretting my new life style (eating smaller portions, healthier food, and exercising regularly). Now at 7 months I can't imagine living any other way.

This is just my long winded way of saying that as time goes on, the new life style will become your norm, and the doubts will fade.

Keep up the great work.

Gary.
