Hi guys, just an update. Been a LONG time since I came here. I am UP ten pounds fromm 179 to 189 and freaking out so I started riding my bike everywhere and hooping. My body dysmorphia thing is getting better with therapy and medication (Celexa) I'm OK! Hope you all are too. Here I am hooping, don't laugh, I just started.
3 1/2 years ago I couldn't really walk (almost 500 pounds then) I'm so happy to make a fool of myself trying this. It's really fun, and a great workout

Yeah! It's soo good to see you back, glad to hear that you've been living life and keepin those 300+ lbs. off- WTG you rawk woman!!!
I think the body dysmorphia is pretty common, it's good that you're being so proactive about it- I mostly just wine to my wife! LOL!
Isn't biking rad now! I love being out on the road, thinking about how I could barely get off the couch and here I am propelling myself all over the place....WLS is a true life saver.
Keep up the hooping, looks like fun!

Hey Check In more often!
It is tough when the weight creeps back, so I for one, am glad you came on the Forum to Check In. For me, being on OH actually helps me stay alert to my behavior (portion control & grazing will ALWAYS be an issue).
Congrats on the weight that has STAYED off, and here's to hoping the ten is EASY to lose!!!
HUGS!!!

I haven't lost nearly as much as our hero StellaBlue, but I have lost a couple hundred and have been on these boards for a while.
The best thing you can do is eliminate sabotaging foods from your diet, and stay away from them as long as possible. Don't re-introduce things, "just to see" if they make you sick. All that white processed food (flour, rice, potatoes, sugar etc..) will only bring on pounds.
The longer you can maintain a balanced diet of meat, veggies and then multi-grains if you have room. Will help you so much in the long run. Cuz once you get on the carb train...it's so hard to get off.
Also, getting started with exercise now, and continuing it as soon as your cleared. Whatever you can do is great as long as you are sweating, breathing heavy and increasing the difficulty week by week.
Good Luck to you Apple!

I just tried to click the LIKE btton for the above post! Ha ha. I am so used to facebook now. I totally agree. Processed carbs are T R O U B L E. Don't go there if you can help it, and you can :)
I'll always be big, but I want to stay UNDER the big 2. Just because I can now. My goal was like 220-230....then I kept lowering it to see where I would end up. I'm really happy at sz 14ish (sometime 12's) When I start trying on 16's it's time to up the exercise. That's what I do to make sure I am in line. I had to put my scale away. I was obsessing. My main problem now is body dysmorphic. Just wi**** would go away....when I was bigger I would have thought it wouldn't be an issue. I try to remember who I was then and what "she" would think of the me I am now....I dunno. She'd be proud, and she'd say "BACK AWAY FROM THE CARBS!!!!" lol :) I listen to "her".
Also be sure to take in enough vites and water...and fiber, fiber has been a big problem for me. I have to get it in and have troble when I don't (won't elaborate...ha ha TMI)
