A LONG JOURNEY

Seems like my preop weight loss will take forever.I have no intention on giving up but I must admit I feel a little down at times. With my surgery weight goal still being so far away,I am finding it harder to find things and people to help motivate me.On the positive side I have lost 40 lbs since my orientation and I feel and move alot better. If I reach my preop goal, I will have lost 100+ lbs.I will keep on trying to get there no matter how many speed bumps appear in my path.I just wanted to write a lil something to look back at when I get a lil further down the road.Hopefully after my eye surgery 2morrow I can get excited about gym workouts and about this weight loss journey. Good luck to all on your journey and I wish you the best.

I know when we start out at a much higher BMI, it seems really really hard. And it is. I had to fight hard for all of my pre-op weight loss. And it was never easy. Honestly, there were very few things that motivated me - it all had to come from inside, and I think you are on the right track. The one thing I can say for sure that did motivate me was ta statistic I read that people with a BMI over 50 are at a higher risk for complications. I made it my goal to be under 50.

You have done amazing. Don't discount any of the work you have done. I'm proud of you!!! You've been an amazing support to me, and I know you will continue to do great.

Good luck tomorrow. Please let us know how it goes.

You have done fabulous in your journey so far.  I know it is hard - hang tough.  You have made it this far you can keep going!  Hopefully your eye surgery went well - and rest and recoup - before you get up and moving again!  Just remember the pre op weight loss is for your benefit as well as your surgeons!

Good luck and hang tough! I may not always be around but I am always cheering for you!!!

Thanks for sharing and you are on the right path and I am wishing good luck for lossing weight and also suggest to have diet food along with exercise and drink warm water after taking meal which will not allow the fat to accumulate on your fatty tissues.

Hey BigCop,

Hang in there!  It may seem like it will take forever, but think about it this way - how long did it take to GAIN all that weight?  It takes how long it takes, and I am sure your surgeon will see your progress & go from there.

The whole pre surgery weight loss is really to help you.  It seems like the hardest part, but your will be better for your efforts!  Hang in there, you can do this!!!
