Anyone in/near SE MI interested in some 34/36 clothes
I'm happy to be losing weight, but hate having to get rid of my clothes. However, I've reached a point where I'm pinning my clothes on or at risk of losing them, so I guess it's time for me to let go of them since hopefully, I'll never be that size again. Most of them are work clothes or dressy casual. I almost exclusively shop at Catherines. I should also say that at my largest, I would frequently cut the lining out of the skirts so they'd fit.
Also, I'm 5'10" tall so if you're petite, you're probably not going to be able to do anything with the clothes but look at them.
Please inbox me if you're interested as I'm rarely on OH.

Congraduations !!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you.
I know what you mean about shopping at Catherine. I love the store. But, That was breaking point. When had to get a dress for my Nephew,s Wedding and could not fit into the biggest size they had. 36X at 390 pounds. I just wanted to die and felt horrible Emotionally and Physically
But,Two years later and three weeks after Gastric -By- Pass I weigh 318 pounds and going down.
I,m out of 5x shirt forever. I already need new bra but, hate to spend money at least until the end of the first month.

First things first -- WOOT ! WOOT! Congratulations on the weight loss so far!!! Here is my suggestion with your clothes -- Women's Shelter!!! Not Goodwill, contact a shelter, as large women rarely get pretty (or good condition) clothing when they are in shelters. I have been fortunate to be able to donate over the years to many shelters, to the point, they would call me, "Brenda, any chance you have...?"
An easy search in your area will probably get you women's shelters, or even a few programs helping women get "Dressy/Business Attire" clothing -- especially for women trying to start (or re-start) careers.
Remember to keep ONE outfit to show YOURSELF how far you have come! Mine is a pair of jeans, damn they USED to look great on me -- but I think I look better NOW!
Keep up the EXCELLENT work ;)
Brenda : )~

Get rid of them for sure and get rid of that negative thinking in say that you hopefully are never going to be that size again. You should be saying I am never going to be that size again. EVER!! I tell myself everyday I am never going back and I know I am not. Keep up the good work and keep it POSITIVE BABE. and really believe and do WHATEVER it takes to make sure you never go back to size 34/36.
Hi Molly S.
I am in the early stages of getting surgery. In fact, I just met with my surgeon today and he gave me this website to look at and to ask questions if I had any. I noticed that your starting BMI was 85.7 (I think) and you had the RNY surgery. Is that correct? The reason that I ask is that my BMI is 58 and my surgeon suggested that since it was over 50 that I look intohaving the Vertical Sleeve. I was wondering how your weight loss is coming along after having the RNY surgery. How long ago did you have the surgery and what is your average monthly weight loss?
I am just concerned about having the Sleeve surgery because he said that in most cases that they will later down the road have to convert it to the Duodenal Switch. I do not want to have 2 surgeries. I'm scared enough about having one but I know that I must do this one for m health and for a better quality of life.
Also, have you lost enough weight yet where the loose skin is becoming an issue? I think the loose skin after the weight loss scares me more than the actual surgery.

Is this doctor part of the excellance program? I am appauled any doctor would suggest 2 surgeries and your BMI is not over 60. How tall are you? If over 5'6, not sure why he would recommend 2 surgeries. Most doctors recommend pre-surgery weight loss before they would recommend 2 surgeries to anyone. I have never heard this before! I am not saying your doctor is bad but I would definitely get a 2nd opionion on this. Make sure you reasearch all options available to you.
I don't know much about VSG. I had my surgery in 2004 and lost about 300 pounds, then gained back about 80 pounds from 2007 to 2010. Now I am in process of re-losing gained weight. I never reached my goal. If you look at my blog and profile page there are more details about my journey. I now blog on MYFITNESSPAL.COM because I log my food and exercise there.
Excess skin is an issue for me now for sure. And it is what it is. It is better to be smaller with lose skin than fat with filled in skin. :-) Lose skin is not unhealthy and fat is. Wish you well dear!!
