Wow that's awesome! How much have you lost? My surgery is scheduled for 6/21 and I have over 200 lbs to lose. I am having a RNY.

Wow, that is awesome and congrats on your pregnancy! I will be having my RNY on June 21st. I am so excited yet nervous too. All my life has revolved around food so I know I will have "head hunger" issues. I am almost 400 lbs and need to lose over 200 lbs. Some people who had the DS have tried to tell me that since I have so much to lose I should get a DS because it is for people with very high BMI's and that I won't as much with the RNY and will also re-gain with the RNY. Well my surgeon doesn't do DS and since I am a recovering cancer patient, I am afraid with the DS thta I would have too much malabsorption and if the cancer came back, I don't think DS and chemo would be a good combination. Anyways, congrats again, you are an inspiration to me.

There may be people who are rather reluctant to respond to this post since we periodically have trouble with "trolls" and you have only one post other than this one and you have no info about yourself... two of the hallmarks of trolls.  Not accusing you, just wanted you to be aware of why there are not many responses.
