Exercising everyday ands staying strong. the weight is coming off.
I been working hard at losing my weight. So I can get surgery down from 385. to down 345.6 Still need to get down to 320. Eating is the biggest effort. Staying off of processed food and keeping carb,s low. My biggest thing was stopping from using Sweet- in -low. I learned it makes you retain your weight. I though for a long time that it was O.k. Why would people lie to you. The week, I stopped using sweet-n-low in my tea. Was the day I really started to lose weight.
How Exercising is becoming so much more easier. I remember when I could not get on my exercise bike . Because, my legs would bend that high. Once I could get on. I could not go for more than a minute. Now I can do for 30 or and hour without stopping.
Just going to the zoo with my family has become and enjoyment than in the old days. When It seemed like punishment. Because, Of all the walking. I even looking forward to going to Seaworld instead dreading it this year.
I still have along ways to go.

FORTY POUNDS IS AWESOME! You may have another twenty-five to go, but you are doing it!
I have never been one to use artificial sweeteners, lucky for me, they give me a bad taste in my mouth. Movement is going to get you to your goal - and then, it is a quick ride.
Stay positive Doris, anything worth having is worth working for!!!

I'm also working towards my surgery. I quit smoking a little over three weeks ago. I really dont even think about it that much anymore . My surgeon wanted me go on a four month supervised diet. I've recently met with a nutritionist and I'm a week into my diet. My weight was at 470lbs. and my mobility is low, but I'm exercising. I'm confident if i push myself I will see improvements and gradual weightlose. You have already started and made huge progress. Just a little hop, jump and a skip and you will be at your goal . Nice job keep up the hard work.
Congrats Doris, you're doing great...keep it up! I remember the first time I was in the pool and my legs didn't feel like dead weight, but they were actually helping me get across the pool. It's amazing what your body can do...Good Luck on the next few lbs!
Enjoy the journey!

Congrats on the weight you've lost so far! I too had to lose before I could even get a referral to the surgeon. A website I found very, very helpful though, if you are interested, is myfitnesspal.com. It gives you a breakdown of all the calories you are eating and tells you how many calorie's to stay under in order to lose weight. You can also put your exercise in and it will tell you how many calories you burned, and it will add that many calories to your daily intake. It's really pretty cool. If you sign up (it's free) you can look me up and be my friend. My username is Jenhudgins :)
