First off, I bought socks today. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but I haven't been able to wear socks for at least 6 years!!!! Couldn't reach my feet till now. Also, I've started to make good choices again and think before I eat. I haven't been perfect, but who is?
I had an upper endoscopy last friday. I was so scared of it, and it turned out to be nothing big at all. I have a beautiful stomach and esophagus. I got a copy of the pics...lol
I'm working on accepting the fact that I could actually succeed with surgery, and maybe even in life. Those are very big things for me.
Also, since my attitude has been better again, my house has gotten much cleaner. Imagine how stuff like that happens.
Peace and Health,
Tracey

Tracey, I can relate. Glad your endoscopy went well. I'm having the VSG hopefully March 15 and I am excited about losing weight, getting healthier and all the NSV's that will come about. I read your blogs and I know how difficult it is when you yo yo as I have done that my whole life but you have been so successful in losing the 72 lbs. I think that is awesome!!!! You now weigh less than me and but we both have a way to go. Let's keep on plugging away and build that better life we both want so much!!

Weight Loss Surgery Support:
Daily Inspiration for February 21, 2011

Katie Jay, MSW

Believe you can overcome obesity.

To succeed at anything you first must have the belief that it can be accomplished. Even though it is imperfect, WLS can be a phenomenal tool in your battle with obesity. But, you must believe and accept that YOU can make this tool work for you. You can do this.

When you had your surgery, you looked inside yourself and found the strength to mold your own destiny. You have turned yourself around in what seemed a dark tunnel of impossibility, and you have faced the light. Surgery is the beginning of believing that you will lose weight and keep it off. It is up to you to keep this faith alive. Feed your faith as you find a healthier way to feed your body.

Action for the day: Today, write a letter to yourself, assuring yourself you are in control. This is just one way to nurture the new faith that is taking root in your life. You have the ability to succeed with WLS.

Tracey --

Big Hugs!!!  Keep those toes warm & cozy!  For me, I was able to shave an area of my anatomy that I haven't been able to in a very long time - one of those, "Honey... I have a surprise for you..." moments - grin!

Attitude takes us to so many great places!  Clutter is never healthy for those of us who hang onto to things (me, I see my weight pile on when my life is cluttered...)  I gave away a bunch of things from my pantry, cleared out booze that has been around years, and clothing found new homes --- that felt SO good!

High five, Girlie!!!
