Congratulations Cindy!

You are showing us all that this can be done but it isn't easy.  You look fabulous!!

Thanks for your prayers.  I am 2-1/2 years out and have lost 200 pounds from my heaviest and I know even now it isn't easy.  I am about 40 pounds from my goal and it is like chiseling stone to get this weight off.  I know it will happen though.

You are an inspriation to us all!

Hi Sylvia, I like your statement about chiseling stone.  I read somewhere long ago that a sculptor looks at a block of stone and determine what needs to fall off.  At first she takes a large chisel and mallet and knocks off chunks of stone.  As she progresses she uses a smaller chisel and a smaller chisel to reform the stone from a block to a recognizable piece of art.  As we get closer to our art sculpture we don't lose large chunks, smaller chips come off.  At the end sand paper and grit is what it take to refine the end product.  I think that being 40 lbs from goal it might take less chiseling and more grit to get rid of the excess, but I am sure your work of art is really on its final stages and looks pretty close to done.  You have done so good so far.  Congrats!!!!!!  I look forward to being where you are.  You inspire me.

Cynthia,
I am waiting for approval and hoping that I can be as successful as you have been. I have a bmi of 67. I keep wondering if I will be successful or not and praying that I will but you just made me cry seeing your before and after because I know the internal pain you must have felt pre surgery let alone any health issues. God has blessed you and thank you for posting such an inspiration!!!
