NSV - a regular sized exam gown!

I'm usually more of a lurker than a poster but...

I had a NSV today - I had a mamogram and the regular size gown fit me fine.  It's probably the first time I have had an exam where I didn't have a bigger size gown or was bursting out of a regular size gown.

It's kind of crazy that it's so exciting to me.

Thanks for looking

It's not crazy at all! Congratulations ! I can't wait to use a regular gown. I was so big at my worst that I actually had a custom one made and would bring it with me to appointments.
Keep up the great work!

That's great!!! I am sure most of us on here have had issues with exam gowns pre op and are finding at some point post op they can fit so it's not crazy. I can't wait for that myself! Feel good about your progress......you deserve it!

I feel your excitement! It's awesome, fitting into "regular" or "normal" sized stuff...those one-size gowns were a former source of stress and embarrassment for me, I can so relate. My gyno provides "paper toweling" that one is somehow supposed to slip into (looks like a bolero jacket made by Bounty)...continues to be ridiculous and I won't ever fit into that despite losing 193 lbs!

Thanks for sharing this NSV...we understand!

Oh, yes, Nan  - - most of us "get it" totally!  I do.  So many things I worried about, was embarrassed about, or caused me to avoid something.  Sitting in chairs with arms, air travel, even certain restaurants with only high chairs (I still hate them) or booths.  Now MOST of the stuff is just fine.  It's a whole new day.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...
