6 months ago I went to an intro meeting about wls at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester. I was so heavy and my legs so bad, that I had to be in a wheelchair with a transport person to push me to the auditorium.
Tonight I went to my preop support group in the same room. I've lost 66 pounds so far. I walked to the room!!! I used a walker just in case I had to sit down, but I WALKED!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of myself and so psyched!!!! YAY

WONDERFUL!!!   It is miraculous to see our bodies change and heal.  Just wait - you haven't seen anything yet.  The body changes at our weights are incredible.

I came to my intro meeting using a cane, and barely able to sit down and get up off the chairs.  I didn't go to some restaurants or theaters because of worry I wouldn't fit.  I used to have to ask for a table instead of a booth.  I used to have to ask for a chair with no arms on it, so I could sit.  Now NONE of that is necessary!  In a year and several months, I'm down 120 pounds and looking to lose more.

I love this site.  There are sites where people START around my goal weight - my surgeon set my goal at 220 - and here is where my people are!  I've got 50-60 pounds to go  to that high goal, and I'm going to do it.

Take care.  I'm excited for you.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY!  Working on the next 25.  Then I'll tackle more...

HUNN!!!

KEEP UP the GREAT work you are doing. The embarrassment is the hardest part or a least it was for me. I was 463 pounds and in a eleric wheel chair for over 4 years. I have lost 263 pounds now and about to go have plastic surgery for removal of the extra stuff and finally look like a human female in my emotional opinion of myself. NEVER let the embarrassment or anything stop you. Keep your eye on the prize and never look back only forward. YOU CAN AND WILL get there. DO not listen to anyone that ever tries to tell you different even if it ourself. WE are WOMAN and we can use our ROAR when ever we choose to. (That way we know we can never be stopped when we want something)
