So I know I should of started taking my calcium a long time ago (this is the only vitamin I'm not taking)  but when I would go to the store I was lost in the choices. So if anyone can tell me which ones are good like from walmart or walgreens, and how much do I need to take. Thanks in advance!!

I can't help you with brands.  I ordered the Calcium Citrate Lozenges from Bariatric Advantage.

But you do need Calcium Citrate (not just any old kind of calcium).  So that should help make your list of choices smaller

Look for Citracal, which is calcium citrate. In the past, I've taken the store brand equivalent (they usually put the generic right next to the name-brand Citracal, but still, read the label to be sure!) We need 1500 - 2000 mg per day, taken in 500mg doses. I just did a quick search on Walgreens' site and found this:

I won't give you a lecture on taking calcium :-) but I will say it's a good idea and something we all need to do!  Good luck.

I use citracal petites.  They have the calcium CITRATE that we really need.  Most stores with over the counter meds have them.  Sometimes Walgreen's has them on sale.

By the time you find out you are deficient in calcium, you are already at risk!  Get 'em going!
