Warm Fuzzy Greetings & an Update
Hi friends!
I've greatly missed you and only occasionally in the past 1.5 months peeked at postings late at night to keep tabs on everyone and feel inspired. Very proud of the progress and empathizing with the struggles!
Been awhile since I've posted as lots has been going on. We moved to a less expensive condo which is nice; it's a two-story quad. Stairs would have been a non-consideration 1.5 years ago, but now it's effortless! My SigOt broke his leg and crushed his ankle hinge during a rainy-day slip while we were starting to move in (Men do anything to get out of helping during a move!). He's hobbling around, scheduled to have his two screws in his ankle removed on 10/11. He's a chef, so he cannot wor****il November or December. It's been rough, just my income, but we're making it. I'm a state juvenile probation officer, and it's been five years since we've had a raise. FL is also the lowest paying of the states re salaries!
Despite the stressors, I'm like five pounds away from Onederland, having lost about 185 lbs. in my almost 18 months post-op. I'm very happy with how I look and feel, even though I truly want and plan to drop some more as Onederland is an important goal of mine. Went for a plastic surgery consult and just got letter of aproval from insurance company that's good for one year. It will take most of that for me to get up the nerve to go through that pain and trauma though I know it will be all good in the end...
The weather's (slightly!) cooling in the evenings, so I'm committing to riding my beach cruiser and resuming my walks. We're planning to drive to the mountains of Tennessee/North Carolina to visit friends end of Oct/beg. of Nov so we can experience autumn in its glory--my favoite time of year!
I'm committed to staying in wayyy more regular contact with you all as the motivation and connections are important to me. Have a wonderful end-of-September, and let's joyfully welcome Fall 2010!
