Didn't meet WLS criteria.

The letter stated that I didn't meet their current critera. They didn't explain what criteria I didn't meet so I called them. Julie(receptionist) told me that my BMI is too high. It's 60 and I have to get it down to 47 and under. I'm 400lbs and 5'8"tall so I did some calculations on how much I have to weight. I've already lost 80IBS over the last few years and I have to loose another 100IBS!! Fuck! why even bother to have WLS if I have to loose weight on my own, and that I will.
Julie did say that I'm still on the waiting list if their criteria broadens. I'm not holding my breath on this anymore. I'm still on the waiting list in Edmonton. I'm still swimming and loosing weigh slowly. Turning 50 in a few weeks and I want to live longer and I'm doing all that I can but in the same token I'm so very angry at these professionals who seem to not take in account on my hard efforts to loose the weight. I'm considering writing to the clinic to express my displeasure and frustration about their criteria. There are people with higher BMI's that have WLS. I can't help being discriminated against because of some ******g BMI chart. Fuck!!
Now I feel good.

I'm down 120 pounds - thanks to RNY! Working on the next 25. Then I'll tackle more...
I know Canada is different. Is this the nation's critiea or the surgeons. If it is the surgeon. I would check with another surgeon. I had to shop around for someone to do me also. Most people here in my area limit was 400 pounds. So if you weighed over 400 pounds they would not do you. And I hear the waiting list in Canada is horriably long. Just do not give up Linda!! You can do it!! Keep up the good work!
