Is POSITIVITY a word? (LOL)

On Saturday morning, I weighed 240!!!  At least for 10 minutes, I weighed what my drivers license says. I think I weighed 240 when I was 15. Today's 244: bleehhhh!

Anyway, I was bad this week with exercising.

But I have been SHOPPING! I got one pair of size 22 gray slacks at Fashion Bug for $4.73; a pair of khaki slacks for $10. Bought several more pairs of pants, including a pair of 20s at Kohls (FROM THE CLEARANCE RACK) for $11 something.

I returned an ugly $42 blouse that my obesity-trained brain told me to buy just because it fit. Then I came to my senses -- I don't have to buy UUUUUGGGGLLLLY anymore -- especially full price. I did like the colors, but the style was yucky.

And I purchased five Misses XL shirts, a blazer and a sweater at Kohls that I love.

I think I'm done with my fall shopping.

I will exercise!!

Have a great week!!!!

I felt good about my choices this week, I even kept a good food journal. went to two support groups. Stinky results. Amazing how quickly my mood goes sour over what the dumb scale says!!
On the positivity command.....Wore a pretty skirt (20) and sweater (16-18) to church yesterday, got tons of compliments. It was like people were looking at me and seeing a normal person, one just dressed up. More people than ever noticed the changes in me. Lord, help me appreciate the accomplishment and not resent the rest of the journey!

Un-insert that angry face!!!!! I just perused your photos (inspired by your lovely new avitar) and you look great. That angry face only tells a story of numbers, and life isn't all about the numbers. Plaster a big ol smile on that face! You are really a great success story!!!!!

Exercising regularly and eating within my standards.

In between praise songs at church yesterday I sat on the pew on the stage and crossed my legs without thinking about it. I don't know that I ever was able to cross my legs before surgery. (Been obese since 5th grade.) All of a sudden, I was like, HEY MY LEGS ARE CROSSED!!!! Hope everyone has a great week!

I have officially lost over 100lbs!    I am very excited.  I am still trying to get back to my excerising schedule since vacation.  I did walk about three times this past week.  Hopefully I will get back on track this week.  Habe a great one, everyone!

50 lbs lost pre-op-the rest is post op.

I am so happy to have lost 21 pounds so far.  My first goal is of course to be under 300.  I would be happy to just be there, because I haven't seen that since I was about 25.

Hey there! You don't need to be post-op to play in the check-in thread. I'm not!

It sounds like you are doing great.

Spread some of that positivity over here too!

I was cruising to a great week and then stumbled on Saturday. I went shopping when I was tired and hungry and brought home 3 boxes of some "extra" protein bars in new & exciting flavors.

Well by the end of Sunday night I had eaten them all. And I'm paying for it with nasty gas from the sugar alcohols plus a sluggish colon.

DId not swim much, even though it was very hot here.

I did have a bad week emotionally due to work stress, so it could have been worse.

Patti I am so happy for you to see the loss you have had since I have been here last.. It won't be long that you will be an honest woman as per your drivers license....

The rest of you all look like things are going great too..
Congrats to you all...

Well guys it has been a long time since I have posted.. So much has happened with my back surgery and then the computer blowed a gasket... well things are much better now.. I am walking with a cane now instead of the ugly walker... HIP HIP HURRAY.. the best word in  that sentence is WALKING.. well anyway I have no idea when I posted my weight last on here.. I think It was before surgery.. on  May 20th.. when I went into the hospital I weighed 286lbs and on June 17th when I came out I weighed 175lbs... by the first of August I was at 168lbs.. this all with NO exercise as I could not even walk.. But little by little my legs are starting to work so the weight is still coming off.. At least I am not gaining..

Starting weight ....303
Surgery weight .. ..236
last week  .............164
this week...............160

I can not exercise so I guess my only exercise I can list is my physical therapy I do 2 times a week.. However I am working with arm weights today and yesterday I went to the pool for the first time since surgery.. I had to use that lift chair to get in and out but I did it.. I was able to walk and do a few things in there I cant do on land.. I just try to keep moving..

Now that I have my computer running again I will try to post every week now.. Good to be able to post and be accountable to others..

luv all u guys
Huggs................
