Name - Angie

Hometown - Nova Scotia, Canada

Greatest Challenge - head hunger  & "sympathy eating"

Favorite WLS Food - Right now greek yogurt with fruit & a bit of splenda - I'm on full liquids still!

Best NSV so far - there are so many!!  I weigh less than hubby.  I can wear my engagement ring.  I can fit into any booth in any restaurant.  I like having my photo taken with my son.  I like looking at a shirt (or whatever) and thinking it will never fit - and it does!!  Oh, and this is more of a scale victory but worth mentioning - as of Aug 3 I am down 100lbs!!!  Woohoo!!!  Before and after pics on my profile if you're interested (well, before & during - I still have 100 to go!)

Cartoon Character - that's a hard one - I guess right now it would be Garfield, but hoping to morph into Jessica Rabbit!!!  LOL

Name: Cheryl

Hometown: St Louis but live near Springfield Mo now

Greatest challenge: Not nibbling! especially at bedtime

Favorite WLS-friendly food: Lasagna made with zucchini strips instead of noodles!!!

Best NSV so far (if you're preop what do you think it will be?): Went clothes looking the other day, I held up a skirt and hubby said "that looks way too big for you" it was an 18!!! I either have a great hubby or a shrinking butt. I so love looking at clothes in the regular section, I am right on the fringe of fitting there!

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?: Good question. My kids used to love Little Bear. There was a duck on there, she was very excitable and would get to yelling "Do It! Do It! Do It!" it has become our mantra in life. So I am the duck on Little Bear.

Greatest challenge: Drinking the shakes

Favorite WLS-friendly food: Right now, I am on my liquid diet, but I can eat certain veggies, so tomatoes.

Best NSV so far (if you're preop what do you think it will be?): Weighing less than my hubby and having a bigger selection of clothes once I'm down a couple sizes. (Right now I'm a 26)

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?: Right now, probably Meg from Family Guy

Hometown: Portland, OR

Greatest challenge: getting water in- I was a guzzler!

Favorite WLS-friendly food: SF Jello cheesecake pudding with greek yogurt (omg!)

Best NSV so far: My son saying "Mom, your ass looks smaller" about 2 weeks out from surgery. Looking forward to new clothes.

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?: Yogi Bear "Hey BooBoo, lets go get some pik a nik baskets!"

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.   24lbs lost pre-surgery. I'm 5'2.

Gosh, that's great about your son's comment! I don't think my son would notice if I lost 50 lbs!

Name: Barbara

Hometown: Westchester County, NY

Current: Poughkeepsie, NY

Greatest challenge: Exercise, getting enough fluids in...

Favorite WLS-friendly food: Wendy's Chili and Brown Cow Greek Yogurt w/ some flavor of sf/ff jello pudding added to tweak the flavor.  The lemon really makes it taste like the inside of a lemon silk type pie.  I do think this will be a fast favoritve when I try it tho -> ricotta with spaghetti sauce and mozz cheese (WLS lasagna) in a custard cup/ramekin

Best NSV so far (if you're preop what do you think it will be?): I am pre-op, but I have lost 43lbs since May and the amount of energy I have gained with just that bit of weight lost already is insane. I am so looking forward to being able to go back on amusement park/carnival rides again. I haven't been on any in about 15+ years,

If you were a cartoon character, who would you be?: My first thought was Jessica Rabbit [I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way...] Pebbles Flintsone when she grew up...Super glad my body isn't as closely resembling Fred's any longer...lol.
