I am 100 lbs. lighter!
I am really bad with the scale and weigh every morning. It just helps keep me motivated, even though many people say not to weigh more than once a week.
So this morning, I did my normal weigh in and was delighted to find that I finally hit the 100 lbs. lost since surgery mark!! Very exciting. It took a little longer than I would have liked because my weight loss really started slowing down a couple of months ago, to be expected.
From my highest weight I have lost 146 lbs., which doesn't even seem possible. I don't feel like I have lost 100 lbs because I am still 254 lbs. I would like to lose the 54 lbs by 11/18, which is my 1 year anniversary for my surgery. My doctor would like me to be under 200 by then. Not sure if I can do that but we will see.
For now, I am so excited about the 100 lbs. This tool is amazing. I do feel like I could have worked harder and done more to have lost more, but I also feel like I have to live this lifestyle for the rest of my life (if that makes any sense :) and want to enjoy every minute of it.
It has been 8 months and 3 days since my surgery, and although people have lost weight quicker, I am not letting it bother me.
I am also hoping this will spur me into exercising more.
Anyway, thanks for reading and good luck with your journey! I sure am enjoying mine!
