Rise 'n shine, folks!  Please join in!  I'm wondering if the change in forum layout is causing less people to come to BMI 50+.  There's an extra click involved now and it's not obvious.  What do you guys think?

I joined a produce CSA and tomorrow am joining a meat/eggs/cheese CSA.  Having fun playing around with items like turnips and daikon, which are both delicious.  Recipes to come :)  I can't wait to get our grass fed/no hormone proteins and farm fresh eggs!  It's much more costly, but in our attempt to eat more naturally and also start supporting local business more, I think it'll be quite worth it.

Drinks:
Nectar / 20oz water
50+ oz additional water

Eats:
1 serving Kashi Go Lean oatmeal (9g protein!)
1/2 c greek yogurt with blackberries picked from our yard and sf vanilla syrup
3 oz grilled chicken and 1 Tbsp Dinosaur BBQ sauce (all natural)
Banana chips and 3 large green olives, 2 mini mozarella balls
3 oz Balsamic Roasted Pork Tenderloin with a side of something green (from produce CSA pickup tonight)

Getting together with a girlfriend tonight, so might make some popcorn and use ICBINB or Earth Balance spread.  We'll see.

Exercise
1 hr water aerobics

Well.....Last night's dinner didn't go well,(made me sick, so my response was to have a snack size bag of cheetos before bed!!! BAD ME! Stupid carbs.) so I will try something new again today.
Started the day with my protein coffee (270 cal/45 pro)
Having lunch now. One slice co-Jack cheese (110/7) 1 oz turkey jerky (80/15) and some goldfish pretzels (75/2)
Dinner will be chicken spaghetti, I get just the chicken and just a touch of sauce to help it stay put. Plain meat is a very painful experience for me still.
To be honest I am struggling with what to eat. What I want is not what I should have and what I can eat comfortably is definitely not on the ok food list. I'm afraid I am headed for failure already!

How do you do with ricotta/cottage cheese? You can add flavors to it - sweet or savory.

Greek yogurt is great if you have it in your area.

Egg whites can make a really easy omlette and you can zap it in the microwave.

I don't eat like you guys (yet), but it helps me to post. Michelle, I like your format, logging liquids as well.

I'm thinking about joining a CSA myself, as I never seem to get to the farmers market on Wed or Sat. But I do have a small garden myself and have more than enough beans and tomatoes in Aug. Can you tell your CSA what you don't need?

Drinks:
2 L Crystal Lite (or more if it's really HOT)

Eats:
B - S'more's protein bar
S - Choc protein shake
L - Choc protein shake
S - Protein cheese puffs
D - Grilled sirloin steak, grilled veggies, garden salad (from my garden!)
S - Protein choc pudding

Exercise:
40 min laps - free & breast (1K)
30 mins water aerobics

I'm glad you're joining us, Patty!  Pre/post/non op, daily accountability helps us all I think.

At my produce CSA you only take what you can use within the week.  There are signs telling you if there's a maximum allotment that you can take of something.  For instance, no more than 1 large cucumber at a time (it's not like that every week, just depends on the item's growing season/quantity available).  Anyway, I only load up with things I know we'll eat within the week.  I figure some weeks I'll get more than the dollar value and others I'll get less, depending on what's in and how much we like it.

The one thing that's challenging is that the hours for the CSA pickup are very limited.  Hopefully you'll have more flexibility!
