NEWS ALERT: Can't Believe I DID THIS!!!!!!!
NEWS ALERT: I WOULD LIKE TO INTERRUPT YOU FOR THIS VERY IMPORTANT BRIEF STORY........................
I am simply AMAZED at what I did this morning.
The story:
I woke up late this morning and had a Pain Management Dr.'s appointment in Austin which is @ 40 miles away from where I live. To make matters worse, I didn't realize that it had rained and was still raining till I opened my front door. This meant that I couldn't drive as fast due to the road conditions. Then, to my chagrin, I don't have an umbrella with me (so I think) and ran into heavy downpours along my route. Finally, I make it to my Dr.'s office parking lot @ 8 minutes late for my appointment and the sky finally decided to loose. They really, really frown on you being late, no matter what your excuse may be.
So I sit in my truck (SUV) and waste precious seconds if not a minute or two, wondering what I was gonna do 'til I recalled an umbrella in the back of the truck...now how do I get it without defeating the purpose of trying to get the umbrella in the first place.
Well, crazy ol me decides to unhook my seat belt, and try climbing over the center console into the back seat, then over the back seat into the back of my truck to get the umbrella!!!!!!
Guess what ???
I MADE IT!!!!!! I DIDN'T GET CAUGHT OR STUCK!!!!!!
Plus, I made it back into the back seat so I could get out of my truck and to my appointment before I had to pay a rescheduling fee of $75 for being more than 15 minutes late.
I can't believe it, ain't no way I would have attempted, let along thought of doing something like this 6 months before!!! It's funny how I've never really seen my weight loss (on my body or looking in the mirror) - to me I'm still the same person I was on December 7, 2009 (day before my surgery.) Guess what, I see the weight loss now - because, AIN'T nooo way I would have accomplished that before my WLS.
Thank you,
Kim
