DRAT, rats, poopy - I'm up half a pound.  Between the water weight and extra-curricular snacking, combined with too hot to move syndrome, I earned the half pound.   Off it goes next week.  I'm already doing better today!!!

2 Weeks ago:212 (I was out of town)
Today: 210 (insert frown here)

I was very active and having tummy issues which kept me away from food, I really hoped to see a nice loss upon my return and am really disappointed in two in two.
Something is disturbing to me......I have discovered that most meat really hurts my tummy (Edna), but guess what...carbs don't. Crackers etc cause me no pain. great.
I'm also at my dreaded nemesis weight. I have NEVER been below 210 as an adult. I got there once and could never get below it. So it is a bad place to be stuck for me emotionally, I'm afraid I will get stuck here again and not get past it.
Enough of the fuss, thanks for the rant space. This is a struggle for me!

Lat week-318
Today 315

I was still struggling up til Friday of last week, sticking around 318-320. then had a few more calories on Saturday and Sunday, nothing I shouldn't eat, just a little more with picnics and such, and lost 3 lbs.  So I am wondering if I needed the extra calories.  I have upped my calories the past few days-we will see how it goes.

50 lbs lost pre-op-the rest is post op.

Holeee-keerap!

My body is definitely now doing the "lose a lot one week, hold stagnant other weeks" thing.  That's ok, as long as it comes off, right?  What's uber cool about losing 8 lbs in 8 days is that I did it while on a 5 day vacation away from home.  I brought so many foods I knew I could eat (hard boiled eggs, tuna, jerky, almonds, string cheese) plus a lot of protein powder and stayed away from all of the gunk others were eating (though I did munch on any avail fruits/veg and protein).  This reiterates for me that vacations don't have to equate gains and that I CAN do the 2 week vacation in August without gaining.  The best part is that even after a couple hours at the ocean and 9 hours in the car yesterday, I woke up today feeling just fine (not lethargic).

YOU are an inspiration, Michelle - your preparation sure paid off.   Rather than use vacation as an excuse, you used it to be active and eat healthy!!  Yahoo - we can do this, I know we can!  thanks for sharing your "secret" to success.   Hmmm eat healthy protein options and stay away from junk food.  VERY clever,  my dear.

Aw, thanks Mary.  Prep work is a big component to success for me.  I get easily distracted when left to my own devices to find good eats on the road and visiting the homes of others.  It's too easy to say, "I'll just have a little of that and that and that..." and suddenly I lose my foothold.  I'm also striving to eat more naturally, so even the healthier fast food options along the way leave me with a bit of an icky feeling.

I'm sorry your week wasn't great, but I have no doubt you'll have a great upcoming one.
