NYC trip
I went with my son's 6th grade class to NYC yesterday. I was a little nervous, but was really proud of myself at the end of the day. I have lost 25 lbs since surgery, but right at 75 lbs since I started the journey towards WLS. I was able to do all the walking, keeping up with everyone, and also was not out of breath. My feet were sore by the end of the day, but besides that, it was a great trip! Just wanted to share this exciting I guess first wow moment for me with you guys!
This is so cool! I'm hoping to do a weekend NYC trip with my kiddo in Sept. and hope I have a similar experience!

Did you guys do anything there that I should definitely check out with my kiddo? We'll have very limited time and it'll be our first trip there together. I'd love suggestions!

How old? I was with his 6th grade class, so we were limited to where we could go but we spent a good bit of our time in Times Square. The kids loved seeing all the stores so much bigger than what they are used to seeing. We did the M&M store-three stories, Toysrus, etc. Then we went to the Egyptian Exhibit, the one that has been touring the US. I wouldn't suggest that, however, as the kids were bored to death at it-LOL
Thanks! She's entering 6th this fall. We're not museum people - I wish we were, but we're so not - we get bored really easily. I'm thinking some time at Times Square, Central Park, Mary Poppins, and maybe seeing the Statue of Liberty.
