Everyone loses at different rates -- you know that already.

In general, you'll lose a lot early out and then it gets harder. I'm not sure about with your surgery, but RNYers get 12 to 18 months of honeymoon and then it is much more difficult. Since you don't malabsorb, I can't tell you if you have a honeymoon. You might get better answers on the VSG board.

After 14 months out, the only time I do lose now is right after my TOM. LOL!

Good luck!!

In my opinion, I think any form of weightloss is great. Yes, it is frustrating to see it move so s-l-o-w, but at least it is moving in the right direction. Don't lose hope. Keep up the good work.

Take care and God bless.

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? I say, what difference does it make--I paid for a full glass,so either way I am getting jipped!!!

Let's say you are averaging 3 pounds a week more or less.  That is great in anyone's book.  We retain fluids before our periods so no loss is typical.  Enjoy the journey.  Loris

It's all fits and starts with me. There are 4 or 5 days of losing 1/2 to 1 lb a day and then 10 to 12 days of no loss at all. It's all weird.

The further out I get, the more inconsistent my losses are.  I stalled for three weeks and this past week lost over 6 pounds.  I'm not even seeing consistency with losing more or less during TOM (which I saw when I was earlier out).

Please do not compare your losses to others... it just sets you up to be down on yourself.  Someone once said, "there will ALWAYS be someone who has lost more than you."  Amen.  And of course we don't pay attention to the posts where folks lose less than we do - we just compare ourselves to those that lose more and beat ourselves up!  Go figure.  I've been down this road...

By the way, "I hate head crazies" totally made me laugh.  AMEN SISTER.

Since I don't actually own a scale, I only weigh at the doctors. In about 7 months I have lost 114# (I also lost 23# before surgery). So if you average my weight over 7 months I have lost around 4# a week.
