6/14: What did YOUR scale say this week?

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE!

Preop, postop, nonop. We need to own up to what the scale sez to move on. However, if you don't weigh weekly, feel free just to post random thoughts about your journey.

Starting Weight: 388 (May 2008)
Last Week: 249
Today: 244

I had my post Aunt Flo drop this week. I hit 241 for about 24 seconds last Friday. My wedding ring was falling off. Then the weekend happened, yada, yada, yada.

I know I'm not drinking enough -- there are signs of dehydration. And I need a visit from the Prune Patrol.

To top those normal woes, I've discovered I have veins in the backs of my hands. My hands look older than they used to.

Sending warm vibes in Teresa's direction -- you go girl!!

The scale has still not been my friend this week.  It stayed at 329/328 most days.  But then this morning, it had dropped.  Does this mean the stall has ended?  I guess we will have to wait and see.  I know about the stalls, read about them, but no matter what my head knows, it is still frustrating, and I still have all of these weird thoughts and fears.  I am going to have to just trust you all that it will pass.

50 lbs lost pre-op-the rest is post op.

Much better week for me.  I did really good with my fluid intake and I think it helped alot.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Wooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!!  I FINALLY broke through my 220 wall.

Now lets hope that I don't immediately hit 220 again in the next 2 days.

I had a wonderful weekend. Did a 5 hour ass kicking hike at Mt. Tamalpais (Nor Cal) with the new man in my life. Learned a HUGE lesson that day....never hike without a trail map and bring more water than you know what to do with.

We took the downhill side of the most grueling trail in the par****pt thinking to myself "thank god we are not going up this" and we missed a trail marker and didn't realize it until we were at the absolute bottom of the trail. To get back to the right trail, yep, you guessed it, we had to hike back up the "thank god I'm going up this" part.

We had almost 3 liters of water when we started but the day was hot and because of our missed trail marker our hike was about 2 hours longer, and much more grueling, than we had anticipated. We made it okay and even had a tiny bit of water at the end but the last hour of the hike I was actively fantasizing about Gatorade and a huge bottle of ice cold water.

A wise woman once said "You have to remember its only a tool....You still have to do the work....The difference is that you have a big shovel instead of a spoon to do it with."

Today is my three month surgiversary. To be honest, I am fighting the blues and a good weight loss sure would have helped. When did it begin to slow down for you all? Can I expect three months to be the end of the rapid easy loss and the beginning of the struggle again?

Losing very slowly for the last four weeks and getting very frustrated. Sticking 99% to the Golden Rules, exercising daily, getting my protein and water, logging every bite, eating 3 meals/3 snacks daily and staying between 800-900 calories.

Should it be this hard a struggle this early in the game? If I am struggling this hard now, how hard will it be in 6 months?

My sister got a sleeve and I think something similar happened with her at about the same time. Hang in there. It will get better.
