Hi everyone..  I wanted to thank you all for the prayers and best wishes and the many cards you have sent my way.. A special thanks to Teresa B for updates on my progress.  Today I am a little more with it thru the pain meds so I thought I would try to write a little to you all.

I am walking a little now with a walker..I am still in great pain but able to bear it to move on with therapy. I am still having to drag my foot little but I am working hard to lift it and actually step. The two back surgeries have stabilized my back the best they can with rods and plates and screws. My bones are leached of calcium and very soft even though I was faithful to take 1500 mg calcium daily never missing not one dose along with 50,000mg vit D.  We are praying to get them hardened before this second surgery fails. They are giving me a shot a day of a new bone builder call Forteo.. very expensive..almost 800 a month..Thank God I only have 50 dollar co pay.. but please pray it works..

I am hanging in there trying to work thru the pain. I am determined to get through this and be able to walk and do for myself again and move ahead with some sort of exercise. I am sticking to my proper foods and amouts and liquids and making sure I am getting in over 100g protein so I will not loose muscle any more than I have. I am doing all I can to not regain anything I have worked so hard to loose.. so far I am doing good with that.. I will not give up. this will not defeat me.. You all have been so encouraging and I am so grateful. You are my inspirations to keep working my tool as I am having to learn how to do everything from dressing myself to trying to just  learning to pick up my feet and deal with this awful pain..  I will win..it may take a long time but I am determined.

I will try to keep you guys updated as I can.. I am going to be in hospital until at least Thursday  I hope to get out then and move on to outpatient therapy and with the help of pain management to try to curb pain.. maybe a pain implant device to provide the necessary to help with pain..

literally one step at a time..

I love you all.. I am so grateful to all of you and I am using your encouragements to help me not give up..I have come too far to give up now..

huggs....

I miss everyone too..very limited to getting online by pain meds, very strong Percucet and Methadone combination.. they really make thinking straight hard and typing almost impossible at times.. but I thank God for the relief they are giving me.. pain still pretty bad but not excrutiating....

I so appreciate the prayers..

Hi Teresa,

It's so good to hear from you.  I'm so sorry about your cir****tances, but I have no doubt that you won't let this derail you from living the best life you can.  The strength in your words is so clear - I have a great deal of admiration for you!  Sending you lots of well wishes,
