Breast reduction

Hi everyone-

I had my breast reduction surgery yesterday.  It went very well--I will be going to the doctor this morning to find out how much in weight he took off.

Other than being sore in the chest area **** is great) and having a slight sore throat because of the anesthesia, I'm fine.  I arrived at the hospital at 9, went in surgery at 11:30 and was back in the room by 3.  I ate some soup and a turkey sandwich (had not had anything to eat since 9 the night before) and I was hungry.  I felt shaky and the food helped a lot.  I was on my way home at 5.

I will keep you all posted but even though it is only the next day, so far so good.

Thank you Cheryl

I'm doing good, especially when I found out I lost 5 pounds off the top (3 off the left and 2 off the right plus lipo).  Pain is manageable and about the same as RNY which wasn't that bad.  I had an open hysterectomy that hurt a lot worse.  I had my doubts at first but I'm starting to be glad.  I already feel lighter--my neck isn't sore when I wake up anymore.

Hi Patti

Things are going good.  I went to the PS yesterday and found out he took 3 pounds off of 1 and 2 off the other (I was really lopsided) and he had to cut back further which I knew he had to do.  He also did some lipo for contouring.  When he took the ace bandage off, I could actually see them without straining my neck (lol).

The pain is manageable.  I haven't taken anything today and I have been using ice for the last couple of days (he told me no heat).  I'm going to attempt a shower in a little bit which should be interesting because I can't raise my arms above shoulder level for 2 weeks.

I'll keep you all posted.
