Happy News!

Wanted to share some good news things with my buddies....... During my journey thus far I have always kept a pair of pants the next size down on my dresser and tried them on every couple of days to see if I was progressing. I am now in my smallest clothes size I own so yesterday I went to the thrift store and bought a size 20 JMS pair of jeans for my next goal. Went home to try them on and they fit!!!! They are too tight for public cinsumption but I could button and zip them!
Took measurements this morning and have lost 10 1/2 inches from my waist!
I am 9 pounds away from my lowest adult weight and am excited and fearful that this will all come to an end too soon. Before surgery I thought if I could just get back to 210 I would be satisfied...the further I go now I want more (or less!) and want to reach my ultimate goal.
My daughter loaned me a pair of size 12 jeans, can't even get them over my hips much less my mega-belly but they are my goal and will stay on my dresser till I get there!

Awesome job!

50 lbs lost pre-op-the rest is post op.

Isn't it just amazing - you are doing so well and we have to visualize it and it will happen.  Size 20 is still a dream for me - if I can get there (when I can get there) I'll be doing the happy dance big-time!   Good for you.

Mary you will get to size 20 and you will go further than that.

I started at a Roamans 5 or 6X and I am down anywhere between a 16 and 20 in pants and jeans (depending on the manufacturer) and about a 18-20 in tops.  Hopefully the breast reduction I had yesterday will decrease that.

Thanks for the encouragement.  It would be something to get that low.  I can't imagine.

I hope your reduction helps and that the healing is quick.  That is one operation I will not need - apron reduction (panni) I will need!

Take care.

I know I will need the apron too at some point.  I wanted to take one thing at a time though--

This wasn't too bad.  I still got 5 pounds taken off the top.  I can't imagine how much will be on the apron.

Thanks.  You are doing awesome by the way.  How is the new job going?

Thanks.  I am feeling better all the time.  The new job is good - it seems to be a fit for me and it is certainly challenging.  I'm doing the best I can to live up to it and feel like it's a great opportunity.

Way to go!!

You will get to a the teen sizes--I know how excited I was when I could even squeeze into the button and zipper jeans.  I am determined never to let elastic waist jeans enter my close again.  The only elastic waist pants I want are to exercise in.

You will get there.  I know what you mean about being satisfied if you get down to a certain weight--I thought if I got to 350 (which seemed to be the limit before WLS), I would be happy, under 300 would be great and now I'm working on the under 200.  My breast reduction should help that along but this morning I was 201.1!!  I know I will get there--the last time I weighed under 200 pounds is when my daughter was 3 years old and she is 24-1/2.
