Just Talked to Teresa S. GOOD NEWS
I just got off the phone with Teresa S and she sounds tired and relieved. She got up today and WALKED 10 steps with help, but she did it, she walked. She may be transferred to another room shortly where here rehab therapy will start. She is a fighter and said to tell all of you hello, but right now she cannot get on here too much because she may not realize what she is typing. LOL
Just please still keep her in your prayers, she has a long road to go, but I have not one doubt that she will make it.

That is wonderful news! I really appreciate your posts, Teresa. I hope everyone can send a card out to Teresa. I am so happy she was able to walk. I will continue to keep her in my prayers for continued recovery. My 20 yo daughter is 11 months out from a difficult spinal surgery. She continues to recover. We weren't sure if she would ever walk again, but she walks, drives, and has resumed her full time college schedule. She was very discouraged for a long time, but continued cards , letters, and prayers from friends and family really lifted her spirits, and helped her get through her rehab day by day.

Just got back on line--busy few days.
I am so glad to see that she is doing so much better. I can understand the not realizing what she is typing with pain meds, just getting back to her normal fighter self.
She is definitely a fighter and she will overcome this. She overcame so many obstacles to get the WLS and to be in a place where things would be much worse had she not lost weight. Please give her my best and lots of hugs.
She is an inspiration to us all--.
