Is it even possible?

I dont know if my ideas are even relistic...However I am gonna give it a try anyways, In 14 days I will be 24 years old, and I think it would be an awesome start to a new year if I would be at my 200lbs loss mark. To do this it means that I need to drop 23 more lbs... I know all I can do is try...and that I shall do. It just blows my mind that just 10.5 months ago I was 456lbs, and now I amd down to 279! Either way I will be very happy if I can get down to 256 by july 21st so I would have lost 200lbs in one year, and will be just 66lbs from my goal of 190...well first goal, I am starting to think that 170 may be possible after all...Well either way thanks for reading my post and letting me vent...

Thank you so much for the support! I am really thankful to have this site where people really unerstand and get what I am going though, support and advise me. I think that everyone is insprational on this site, I mean look at us, we all face the unknown and hold on tight though this rodeo of weight loss. Its not an easy sport but oh man has it been worth it, at least for me. All the first in my life, all the things I can do again, All the wonderful friends I have made along the way its been just amazing!

You want to drop 23 lbs in two weeks....losing over a pound in a half a week? Not very realisitc at almost a year out. However, you have come so far already I think you should instead focus on that. Focus on all the things you can do now that you couldn't at 456.... Don't worry so much about the numbers, don't let that scale rule your life- you have accomplished something that very few people will ever understand and I believe that you can make it to 170- but you're going to have to patient.

We give numbers a lot of power, don't we?  I'm totally guilty of it.  I've got a goal weight set of 180 not because I think it'll be a great weight for me, but b/c I want to be able to say "I lost 200 lbs!"  Unfortunately  our bodies often have other plans.

I think giving it 100% your all (without doing anything extreme) is something to be admired.  There's nothing wrong with setting a challenging goal for yourself and pushing yourself to achieve it.  Do I think the amount of weight you want to lose in two weeks is unrealistic?  Truthfully, I do.  I'd much rather hear about your joy with how much healthier you feel and how able you are to do things and celebrate that with you on your one year anniversary.  Ultimately isn't that what is most important?

I would just hate to see you reach your one year anniversary and experience disappointment of any kind.  It should be a joyous moment.  Shoot for the moon with weight loss these next two weeks, but please don't do anything drastic and please make sure you are happy with your success no matter what the scale says.  You've done an amazing job!

Thanks again everyone,
I am 100% sure that I will make the 200lbs lost in one year, I was kinda just pushing myself to do it by my birthday. I have just under 7 weeks tell my one year from the starting of my weight loss start, on July 21, 2009. As of this very morning I have lost 180lbs, only 20 more to go tell 200lbs loss. And about 80 something tell my first goal of 190lbs. I think I am going to attempt to get down to 180 or a little less before the end I start to maintain my weight. Well thanks again everyone for your love and support, I could not have done what I have with out all of you!
