I'm stuck and really just need some encouragment please
I have been stuck the past two months at least, just going up and down three pounds. My activity level has increased but is still not as much as I need. I have just bought a new bike 2 weeks ago and have been riding sooooo much, something that is so new and unheard of for me. I have never counted calories but I have started the past couple weeks because something has to give right, and my calories are typically right on. Occasionally I have been up 1-200 calories so this HAS to be why I am stuck right?? I need to just get it together with my calories and even more activity right??? I am 10 months out I should still be able to loose weight right??? I finally feel like I am at an acceptable overweight, sounds terrible but I still have so far to go and as you see I am really starting to get nervous and freak out just a bit:) I appreciate any thoughts I am just really struggling, thank you for reading and taking the time.
It happens. Your body is trying to adjust to your new lifestyle, so give yourself a little credit for ALL the work you are doing. Have you talked with your health care provider? Have you had blood work? Are you REALLY getting enough protein? I am a strong believer in food journals, that way you & your doc can look it over & see where you might not be getting enough (or too much).
Stay positive - which is a hard thing to do -- but hey! You have at least ONE person out in the world who heard you & I CARE.
High Five for all you have been SUCCESSFUL at!

Hello,
Congrats on your progess to date! I sincerely doubt you're done losing at 10 months out...stalls seem common. Re-evaluate your protein and liquid intake and make sure you're getting plenty of both. The scale WILL move downward again. At 14 months post-op, I've experienced the same two-month stability lately...my longest stall. So I'm also looking at my protein & liquid intake and definitely reducing some carbs. I'm not done yet!
Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

you've done amazing... an its not over..... i havent been losing for the past few months either.. but my body is contouring... according to the doctors... im begining to gain muscle... if u cant get them to give u a body fat percentage test.. its simple u just hold a thing for a few mins... an with ur height an weight in it an it caculates how much of u is still fat... mine keeps going down... even tho my lbs havent... so dont get discouraged... but do ask about that.. an keep measuring.. omg at the inches i have lost.... its outstanding an unreal....
Take a breath, you have already lost an adult- so be patient with your body!
I don't know much but I do know that this is what helps me lose the weight:
1) I eat a lot of protein (I'm at like 1200-1500cal normally)
2) I drink a lot of water
3) I work out almost everyday
4) I don't eat anything w/ sugars over 6gm (including fruit)
5) I don't eat white foods
6) I wait 30-60 min after eating before drinking
You have to find what works for you, but be patient with your body and stick to the plan cuz you're not done yet!
