Pinched nerve???

I had surgery on 5/10 and woke up with a pinched nerve. I couldn't feel my hands or feet but now have both hands and one foot back to normal. Today I started to feel a sharp pain in my lower back. Is this the nerve getting better? Anyone else ever had this happen?
