My surgery went well.  I am a little sore, and trying to get used to responding to my pouch, but so far so good!

Thanks guys.  I am trying to stick to the sip and walk mantra.  Someone on another board also put rest.  Doing that too.  I am still gassy, so I have to stop to make sure, am I full, or is that just gas?.  The gas is much better today though, so I am sure that will get easier.  The nutrionist checked in on me today and said I was doing fine, and gave me some more tips for getting protien in.  Thanks again!

So glad to hear you are doing so good.. The gas from the surgery will go away soon..protein is important but right now the two most important things are walking and sipping all the time.. way too many people wind up back in the hospital because they get dehydrated.. so try to get in as mush liquid as possible.. shoot for 64 but don't expect that much just yet.. you would be fortunate to get in 36 to 40 at this point.. but try to increase that everyday.. sip sip sip sip sip.. even at night keep a glass of water on the nightstand and if you wake up sip sip sip.. before going back to sleep.. carry water with you at all times.. it should be like a right arm.. I also drank Crystal light and ate sugar free Popsicles to add liquid.. remember your protein shakes count in that liquid too. not jus****er.. Popsicle brand Sugar free Popsicles each one is equivalent to 2oz of liquid..

Walk as much as possible.. it will help with the gas and also to eliminate blood clots..

great to see you doing so well keep it up..

huggs..
