Daily Eats / Exercise - Tuesday, May 11
Teresa, so glad you are feeling better!!
Crystal, may I ask how far out you were when you started eating over 1,000 calories a day? I'm getting close to being 6 months out and I could easily eat more and would like to, but I'm freaked out about it. Our nut's don't give calorie guidelines but I count them b/c I know myself and can get easily out of control.

Good Morning everyone...
Michelle.. thank you I am much better.. it will take weeks for the sinus' to clear up totally but I feel so so much better..
We are about a week apart in surgery dates.. I talked to my nut about calories just a week or two ago.. she told me at this point as long as I was staying under 1200 calories I would be ok.. then her and I discussed my height issue with that amount.. she said if I felt more comfortable staying between 900 and 1000 then that would be ok for me.. We also discussed age in the figuring.. I am 51 years old and going through menopause.. it all factors into the equations.. so there is really no set amount of calories.. the 800 amount may work best for me since my metabolism is slower at 51 and with menopause looming.. you kinda have to find that sweet spot where you are loosing steady.. not necessarily fast but steady.. and of course not gaining.. she made it sound like most people at 6 months out would do ok with 1200 or less.. you will probably have to just try to find the right amount for you.. a lot of times we are not eating enough.. but then there will be times we may be eating too much.. this is all a trial and error thing to get adjusted.. I am not sure I am going to raise my calories drastically.. I have been loosing rather slow as it is.. remember I am going to be 6 months out on the 23rd but I basically started loosing my weight and eating 800 calories a day last February.. so I am really over a year out at the rapid weight loss.. so I am a little different story.. It is kinda like the rate of loosing.. we all are different and will need different amounts of calories to be at the right place to loose.. So try out the raise in calories and see what happens.. you have to experiment to find that sweet spot that is right for you...
