I've experienced the too tight booth, asking for the seatbelt extender on the airline, the turnstile issue, the treadmill belt hanging when trying to walk on it, but one of the relatively recent ones that seems to stand out was a movie.

One of the most embarrassing public times was when I went to see Wall-E opening weekend in the movie theatre with a friend. It had been a year since I went to the theatre and had gained 100 lbs over that year due to a thyroid issue. I wa****ting my highest weight (over 362).

First off the seats were almost too small and hurt. The theatre was crowded and the guy next to me in the row moved his entire group down one seat because I was "crowding" him. He was trying to be nice and said it with a smile but still, it was embarrassing. It was obvious my fat legs and arms were crowding him.

Then the movie started. If you have never seen Wall-E. One of the themes is over-indulgence in food and no exercise for the humans. Needless to say, after the movie was over there were several people in the crowd who were looking straight at me. Granted, many of them were teens or younger but there was definite judgment and opinions that were not in the least disguised. One of the teen girls even whispered to her friend "she needs a sled" and giggled.

Not the best movie to attend publically.
