Good morning, friends! Trying to get back into the day to day groove... for some reason it always takes me a couple days post vacation to get my ack together lol

2oz corned beef (fatty area removed) with dijon
7 Turkey pepperoni slices and 1/5th of avocado
1/2 c Greek yogurt with Michigan dried cherries
1/3 c mixed apples/strawberries
1/2 c Broccoli and pork cashew chicken
Exercise
45 min walk during my kiddo's softball practice

Good to have you back Michelle.. I missed you and your posting of this thread.. I hope you had a great vacation.
I was awakened at 4:15 this morning when my nose spray wore off and I got all congested again and couldnt breathe.. not good when you use a C-pap machine.. So my day has started early.. It is warmer today and I am finally able to get outside.. I have been out and fed my animals myself this morning (daughter finally got a break) and let the donkey out to graze and I have lots of errands to run and my hubby is having outpatient surgery this afternoon.. It will be a busy day..
No crawling back in bed today.. I sure will be glad when this cold/flu thing is gone..

In Order To Change...a Caterpillar must have the faith of a Butterfly
Well...ahem...there's good news and then there's bad news today for me. I didn't sleep enough last night, and I know this is a trigger for me to want to eat when I am not hungry. Well, today after lunch, I was not a bit hungry, but I was so miserable from lack of sleep that I slipped back into my old habit of putting things in my mouth when I don't feel well. I ate about 7 small chocolate dipped pretzel twists. Now there was good news in that too, because that's the most of anything sweet I have had since surgery and I did dump off of it. Not that that felt good at all, but I had almost decided I didn't have that benefit from the surgery. So, anyway, it wasn't a total bust. Here's the breakdown:
B - chicken fillet off a chicken biscuit from hardees
S - about 1/3 of a pear
L - Green salad with a little shredded cheese and some delicious fat free 'Cranberry' vinagrette dressing. (It was fabulous!)
S - Protein shake
Extra Snack - chocolate covered pretzles (bummer)
D - Lobster Roll without the roll (~ 4-5 ounces of lobster) and about 1/4 cup roasted asparagus
Protein: 97 grams
Calories: ~1150
If I'd been able to avoid the pretzles, I'd have been under 1000 calories, which is where I prefer to stay. Anyhow, I get to head back home tomorrow after lunch. It'll be good to be back where I have total control of what is available for me to eat!!! See ya!! connie

Glad to hear you are headed home so things will be easier for you to stay in control of what you choose to eat..
Looks like you did real good (minus the pretzels ) today..
I am sorry that you had a bout with dumping.. its no fun.. We all have our weakness and I am so glad that I am not a sweet eater.. I made a mistake and ate some sugar fee hard candy that was not sweetened with splenda.. I can handle the splenda with mild gas, but the other sweeteners do not agree too well.. anyway I had a dumping bout at 2am.. I have never had so much of a belly ache and diarrhea in my life.. I laid on the bathroom floor in the fetal position until it passed.. was bad news.. so I never want to tempt it with real sugar.. I stay under 5 grams of sugar at all times in everything I choose to eat.. Like you said it will really make you tow the line once it happens to you..
You will be glad, I am sure, to be back home in your own bed to get a good nights sleep.. Don't beat your self up at all about your trip.. I think you did a great job.. How easy it would have been to just use the trip as an excuse and eat anything and everything.. but you did the best you could to stay on course.. KUDOS...
