Next week a big step toward surgery
Hello Everyone!
Well, I am getting closer to having a date. Next Friday I see the Nut and have my psych. eval. After that, the Dr. turns everything over to insurance. They said that BCBS usually submits approval within 48 hours. I have talked to the insurance company and it is covered so there should be no problems. After approval of course my surgery will be scheduled! I am getting nervous but excited as well. I got on the scale this morning and found that I have lost the weight that my surgeon wants me to lose before surgery!! Thank you Syntrax Nectar protein powder...lol! What happens in the psych. eval. anyway? They sent me several forms with billions of questions on them and I answered them all. I have to take those with me to my appointment.

Congrats on the progress thus far. I would not worry about the psych eval. They are just looking to see that you understand what you are about to do and are committed to doing what you need to do, such as following the plan steps and taking the vitamins etc. Make sure you are ready for it basically. You will do fine.

Congrat on getting the surgery. Let us know when you get your date. It is a wonderful thing. You may not think so at first but it is well worth it. Just remember to follow the dr. rules and you will make it. As for the phyc eval don't let it worrie you just make sure you read carefully all the question. There prettty silly questions on the test. Congratulations on your weight loss. Just remember the journey just gets better everyday. Good luck to you Sherri
You are going to do fine - you are on your way to your new life. Join us on the losers' bench and you will soon see how exciting it is. I was always able to lose 40, even 50 pounds - but this "tool" is really powerful! Welcome aboard.

Well that's great, I hope you'll be just fine. It is recommended by most doctors to begin changes to your health regimen. The following are activities and changes recommended prior to bariatric surgery like follow some recommended diet, quit smoking, drink multivitamins and stuff like that. Good luck!
