Sometimes, I just feel like I could cry...

from JOY!  Pure, unadulterated happiness at this new life I'm getting.

I wake up in the morning and get ready without the lumbering around and getting out of breath just from getting up and moving around.  I step into the shower easily shower, dry off - right down to my toes, and don't feel like I need another shower because I'm all sweaty and exhausted!  LOL

I get dressed, play with the dog, prepare my lunch, get into the car - my tummy doesn't touch the steering wheel - not even close!   I buckle my seat belt with ease.  I walk from the parking lot to my office without great effort and I get right to work.

I have energy and do my work well and make excuses to walk around, instead of avoiding leaving my desk.  I run errands.  I go places and do things other people take for granted.  I wasn't able to do them before.

I love the new things - little things - I discover are easier each day.  I hope I remember this and never take it for granted or let it get back to the misery I had before.

I LOVE my weight loss surgery.

I'm so happy for you, Mary.    It is amazing how the list of things we dreaded doing before is shrinking, isn't it?

This post is bound to provide inspiration for many.  Keep on rockin' that tool, girlfriend!

Oh the days we so longed for... I dont think any of us ever thought the day would come that we had all that energy..

I am so happy for you.. Tears of Joy are so wonderful.. I may just join you.. I need also to remember the little things I do everyday that I could not do before.. I think it might make the scale numbers seem insignificant..

Love the comment about drying off after a shower,, you are so right, it was such a choir to just dry off that I was all sweaty again and needed another shower.. It got so bad that I would just wrap up in a towel  (oversized like a beach towel) and sit to dry naturally.. made such a long shower time.. I never could reach my feet anyway...

It is great to be able to function so well now.. Keep up the good work and there will be so many more NSV's to come..

huggs..

YES, Mary, YES!! That is the feeling of FREEDOM from the weight that was tying us down!

Doesn't it feel wonderful to just embrace this journey and reap the rewards of our improving health and ease of movement? When I think back to how hard it was just to get into my car and fasten the seatbelt, or just to walk up a flight of stairs, or the excruciating pain in my feet at the end of the day...I thank the Goddess for this surgery and the opportunities it has given me to live healthier, and HAPPIER!

Yay, US!!
