Sad. 2 1/2 months out from surgery and weight loss slowed
52!!pounds since Feb. 10! That is amazing! Please hang in there, these feelings will go away soon. As you say, you are just in a funk. Take a day off except for something you want to do!! And, start again the next day. Take a walk, look at the sunshine and pretty Spring flowers. And talk to me when I get in my next funk!! We all need encouragement once in a while. It took you some time to gain all that weight - and it is coming off!! I have as much, or more, to lose than you do. Let's do it together!
I had surgery the end of December and had my first stall starting the middle of February. It lasted till last week. I had lost 60 lbs including the preop diet. When I stopped losing, I really couldn't tell that I had lost much weight. But during this stall period, I lost a lot of inches and can really tell be how loose my clothes are that I have lost inches. So you may also be losing inches even though you are not seeing the scale move. I think it is just my body's way of "catching up" with the weight loss.
Anyway, good luck with your weight loss. It helps to get all your fluids in and your protein.

You've come so far! Don't give up.
It's just a fact that most clothes that fit people 300+ are awful. I remember buying ghastly stuff just because they had something in my size. Keep the eye on the prize: cute clothes when you get closer to goal.
Please remember: everyone is different. When I was 2 1/2 months, I was down about 58 pounds. There were a lot of people who were ahead of me; a lot of people who were behind.
Things do slow down -- they're not going to go back to that wonderful, consistent 1-2 lbs a day thing ever again. Now is the time to get your head ready for when it reallllly slows down -- after 6 months.
My suggestions:
If you're not exercising, you need to start. Walking is great to start. I started out with a recumbent bicycle because of ankle/knee issues. Exercising can help with your mood, as well.
Track your protein. I think with us bigger folks that we really have to aim for 80 - 120 g a day. Protein will help with the hunger thing big time.
Make sure you're getting your liquids in. This is still my biggest problem.
Avoid carbs as much as you can. When I go into a carb binge, it takes me three days cold turkey to break it.
Don't forget your body is dumping estrogen stored in your fat. You will be moody. Exercise helped me with that.
YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS!!

One food makes you larger, and one food makes you small...
I hear you all and glad we have this forum to rely on. I just get anxious and want it to happen so fast. I know its only a tool but get frustrated easily. I see the other women and they look so good but no tells you about the slowing down. I will work through this and plan to go to Anytime Fitness today to work out. I walked one time and that was it! I need to hop on the band wagon to lose more.
I felt the same way during my first stall in February. I had lost quite a bit of weight and I didn't feel very different. I tried to concentrate on making sure my foods were right and trying to remind myself this is my new life. Sure enough I started losing again.
But it took losing over 80 pounds to feel any different. I was hoping to feel much better faster than I have. Honestly I've been tired with adding so much exercise and planning my life around food, water and vitamins.
It's worth it. You can do it. And you've found just the right place to get the extra support you need to get you over the hump.
