NSV

I was getting a bath took after walking in 82 degree weather and to get ready for my support group meeting tonight.. I was relaxing in a nice hot tub when I sat up to finsh taking my bath.. All of a sudden I realized I was sitting indian style in the bathtub with room to spare.. I cant remember EVER  being able to do that...except maybe as a kid...

It feel so great... I know you >50 BMI ers can relate.. this was the best NSV so far..

taking a nice hot bath is one of the things I miss so so much, that gives me a great goal to look forward too. Right now its just misery getting in and out and my hubby has to help. He would do so lovingly and without hesitation but its mortifying for me so I stick to the shower.

That is where I was a year ago.. I could not get in or out by myself and I could not even bathe by myself. I was actually totally dependent on my hubby and or my mom.. I could barely fit in the tub and that was squished in like a sardine.. so I took mainly showers but I had to sit on a shower seat and be helped to even do that.. I have come so far... You will too... there are so many things that others take for granted.. but us over >50 really understand the things that are so difficult ...

There will be so many NSV for you and ones you will call WOW moments too.. Make sure you write down as many things as possible as you go and that way you can read them when you are having slow loss times and are down about it.. looking at the positive changes you have made so far really can help.. and you will have MANY positive..

I will one day be applauding you for bath time..

That's REALLY cool!  I'm inspired to take a bath tonight and see if I fit any easier! LOL 

I know you will... It is such a cool feeling.. funny how the little things can get us so excited.. lol

That is soooo cool!  I miss bathing in a tub. I am just waiting to take a shower in 3 days, Just got my staples out and drain. cynthia

It wont be long before you will be in the tub again.. 3 days will go by fast.. I know you are happy to get that drain out.. that was the worst part for me.. I hated that thing.. 
 
I am sure enjoying hot baths now.. who would have thought that a bath could be such a pleasure.. lol..
